THIRD PERSON'S POV
(After cheerleading practice)
"Alright, girls," Malika speaks, getting everyone's eyes on her.
"We are all ready for the match now, but I'll still fix practice hours thrice a week so we won't lose the vibe."
"Uh, Rose and Millie, you two shall practice extra." She completes. They nod at the coach before she dismisses.
Rose looks around, searching for one particular person, Tyler. But he was late, as usual.
She sighs and looks at the time, she has to be on time at the café.
"Hey, Rose," Rose turns around and finds Millie standing close to her with a hesitant look leaping on her face,
"Yeah?" Rose asks casually.
"I know it's weird but... I mean, Joseph and me, and then someone said that you're not okay with this-"
"Mill, trust me, I heard someone saying that I'm going suicide after hearing about you and him." Rose sniggers, putting the statement as the dumbest shit ever said.
Millie is still confused. By her face, she looks drawn to whether she is supposed to laugh too, or Rose said it with other intentions.
"So, you're, you're okay with this?"
"Of course, I am," Rose pauses and continues again.
"I am over Joseph; we broke up because we didn't want to stay together just for the sake of a relationship. Everything was mutual, and I'm happy that you're seeing each other." Rose speaks with assurance in her tone.
"Really?"
"Yeah!"
"See you at practice then." Millie walks away with a smile after saying it.
Rose smiles while watching Millie going away, she is definitely happy seeing them together.
She turns around, and her gaze reaches the guy standing in the distance, leaning against a car.
ROSE'S POV
What the hell, he thinks he's a protagonist of some film? I stand in front of him, passing him a dry glare,
"What the hell, Tyler? You were supposed to be here fifteen minutes ago!"
"Oh, I am standing here for the last fourteen minutes." He smiles innocently. Yeah, absolutely.
"Come on, I'm getting late already," I speak while going to the other side of the car.
"Late for what?" Tyler asks as he hops into the automobile too.
"Here," I hand him over the map after settling down.
"This café, I work here, and I gotta reach there in ten minutes." I point at the café on the map.
He eyes it for a few seconds and puts the paper down.
"Alright!"
"Now, you will answer my questions honestly." I started looking ahead at the road.
"Yeah, sword."
"Why did you leave town without telling anyone?"
"My dad's business went bankrupt, and he decided to sell everything, his building, our house, our farmhouse. He didn't want any of us to tell about it to anyone, he said we'll come back when things would be favourable again."
WHAT? My eyes poke out of their sockets,
He said bankrupt.
They were in trouble, and they didn't tell anyone about it? Why?
