A/N: Happy Jin Day!
I almost hit a writer's block yesterday. But then Jin dropped Abyss and suddenly, boom! I vomited 2.9k words. So I wrote this listening to Abyss and Sea back to back. Hope you enjoy!

"Is everything all right, sweetie?" Hoseok glanced up from his untouched dinner, his mother's concerned face bringing him out of his trance.
"Huh? Yeah, it's nothing," He tried for what he hoped was a reassuring smile. It must not have worked because her brows furrowed even further and she pursed her lips. Thankfully, she didn't make any further comments and turned back to the rest of the family seated at the table.
Hoseok was as grateful as ever that his mother respected his space and didn't pry. He sent a silent thank you to her as he watched her laughing at something his father was saying.
But Hoseok's mind was not with them.
Ever since his phone call with Namjoon, he'd been unable to rest easy. It didn't help that everyone was making such a huge fuss about this storm. It was all anyone wanted to talk about.
What worried him the most was the fact that he'd been unable to reach his friend since then. On a normal day, you would never find Namjoon without his phone on him, so he was rarely the type to miss calls.
Hoseok tried to tell himself that he might've been busy at work, but the sinking feeling churning in his stomach reminded him that if he really was at that meeting, he would've at least texted a dozen updates of excitement. After all, he'd been working for this only all of the last two years.
Hoseok had been there with him every step of the way, from the long nights they spent in Namjoon's cramped study to the beers he dragged his friend to over the weekend in an effort to distract him from overworking himself.
Which is all the more reason why he was helpless at the guilt eating him up inside. The last thing he wanted to be was the reason why his friend misses the first step towards his lifelong dream.
No, I won't let him miss.
With a shaky breath but steely resolve, he pushes his plate away. The lively table goes silent as he draws back his chair and gets up, already moving to leave for the door.
"I'm so sorry, I have to go somewhere. It's urgent," He explains hurriedly as soon as he saw his mother open her mouth to question him.
"But-" Hoseok cuts her off her protest with a gentle kiss on the crown of her head ,"I'll be careful on the road, I promise."
He already knew about the travel warnings placed for that day but it was all the more reason he had to go. He couldn't leave Namjoon out there to fend for himself when he can't be trusted to be on his own two feet without somehow hurting himself.
Stepping out the door and closing it behind him, Hoseok shivered. This storm surely didn't come to play, he thought as he took in the utter chaos it was wreaking around him. Even bundled up as he was with his bulky jacket, the cold penetrated through his body.
Shuffling on his feet a little to gain some warmth, he dashed towards his baby parked in the driveway.
"Fuck," he yelped as he felt a heavy sheet of rain taking only those few seconds to soak him through and through.
I hate rain.
He always had. He preferred clear skies and warm sunshine on his face. A fond smile settled on his face as he recalled the numerous days he dragged Namjoon and occasionally Seokjin with him to go hiking or on aimless drives around the city. They always enjoyed the warm summer days together, though Namjoon had a weird fascination with rain.
