- about a week later, they were back in London -

Melanie's POV:

It's been a week since we got back from New York. Thomas introduced me to the world. Now I'm known again as Thomas Brodie-Sangster's girlfriend, but this time it's real and it will stay like this forever. We've been dating for about 1 months and 3 weeks and things are just great. He makes me extremely happy. As I walk around in college, I noticed people staring at me a lot since we got back in London. Some look at me in disgust and jealousy, others smile at me happily. I know some people will love me and some will hate me, but I've grown to live with it. You can not make everybody like you, it's impossible. Everytime I see a person glare at me, I just ignore them. Luckily I have Thomas around me most of the time, so I don't need to worry that they will do anything to me. Everytime he's around, I feel safe.

It's lunch time and I'm sitting in the cafetaria at my usual table eating, while I wait for the others to arrive. As I look up I see about 4 figures approach me. It's Tiffany and her gang. It somehow surprised me that Melissa, Thomas' ex-girlfriend, was now part of their gang.
" What can I help you guys with?" I asked at them. Tiffany and Melissa, standing at the front, glared at me with an evil look on their faces.
" Let's see. I've got a problem." Melissa stated with her arms folded before her chest.
" What is it?" I asked curiously. I am starting to assume wich problem she has.
" Well.. You!" She answered, while pointing her finger at me.
" Me? What the heck have I done to you?!" I asked in self-defence.
" You've taken away my boyfriend!"
" Taken away your boyfriend? I guess I wasn't the one who broke up with you, huh? Thomas did. He probably had a reason to." I stated. I really wished that Thomas, Lizzy or Jake would come over now. I always feel pretty uncomfortable in these kind of situations and I have a feeling this wasn't going to be good. Normally, I can't handle this very well. This time I'll have to. Hopefully the others come in any second.
" You hurt her and humiliate her!" Tiffany pointed out at me. She gave the blame on me, but she was the one who actually ruined it.
" Humiliate her? I guess you had a big part in that yourself, Tiffany! You were the one who let the tape role about me being in love with Thomas! So I guess I've got more humiliated than Melissa!" I pointed from her to me. I was actually surprised how I acted. In such situations, I usually turn shy and nod at everything they say. Guess I've changed a lot during the past few months.
" You are just a stuck-up brat! I'm sure you date him just for the fame and to have a lot of attention!" Melissa snapped at me.
I glared at her. How could she even say that?! I would never do that to Thomas. Never.
" He's been my best friend for 15 years! I definately don't date him for the fame! I date him, because I love him so god damn much! Just because you dated him for the fame, doesn't mean I do! I care a lot about him, unlike you ever did!" I yelled at her.
Melissa looked shocked, like what I just said wasn't true, but I know she never loved him. I still can't understand what Thomas ever saw in her.
" Listen to me, you little-" Melissa started, but got interrupted.
" Hey! Leave her the heck alone!" I recognized that voice immediately. It was Lizzy. She always stood up for me when Thomas wasn't there.
They all looked over at Lizzy. Tiffany and Melissa glared at her with an disgust look on their faces.
" This ain't your bussiness, Miller!" Melissa yelled at her.
Lizzy glared at Melissa. " Guess what, Parker! When it comes to my best friends, it is my bussiness! So get lost and leave her alone!" Lizzy snapped at them. The gang glared at us and walked away.
" This ain't over, Adams." Tiffany snarled quietly at me.
When they left, I turned to Lizzy. " Thanks, Liz. I owe you one." I smiled weakly.
" That's what friends are for, Mel. You don't owe me anything." Lizzy answered.
As Lizzy had just said that, the boys came over to us.
" Hi girls.." Thomas said and turned to me.
" Hi.." I said back. I was happy he was here again. When I'm with him, I feel safe.
" What was that all about?" He asked; signing to the argument with Tiffany and her gang.
" Melissa's jealous I'm your girlfriend now, I guess. She said that I date you just for the fame. I hate that bith so much! I love you and I don't date you for the fame! Why would she even think that? I'm not that kind of person! I would never hurt you! I just-" I panicked slightly.
Thomas interrupted me. " Hey hey.. Calm down." He hugged me tightly. " I know you love me, Mel. I know you wouldn't do such a thing. You're sweet and kind. I love you too and I believe everything you say, okay?" He tried to calm down, wich seem to work. He knows that I would never do that to him. I would never be able to hurt him like that. He's the greatest thing that ever happened to me, I would definately never ruin what we have.

-Time skip-

Thomas' POV:

It was around 7 o'clock pm. We had turned back home for the weekend. Melanie's parents weren't home. They said I could stay for the night. We were laying in the couch.
" Urgh there's nothing on tv again!" She stated while throwing the tv remote on the coffee table.
She sat back against the frame of the couch with her arms crossed.
I laughed at her reaction.
" I'm bored." She whined.
I rolled my eyes with a grin on my face. I made my way over to from the other side of the couch to her.
I leaned over her small frame. Our faces were just inches away from each other. My hands were leaning on both sides of her face.
She grinned. " I think I'm going to enjoy what you have in mind."
" I think you do." I grinned back.
My lips brushed hers. I was playing with her a bit.
" Ooh come on!" She stated, annoyed.
She pulled at my shirt so that my lips were fully on hers now. Soon we were in a make-out session. Her hands always seem to find their way to my hair, while my hands were alway finding their way to the bare skin of her waist.
" Would you guys just stop for a minute, please? It's annoying me!" Annie, Melanie's sister, yelled at us. We must haven't noticed she had entered the house.
Melanie and I pulled away blushing and sat up straight next to each other on the couch.
" Ouch.. Someone's in a bad mood.." Melanie smirked.
Annie turned around at her sister and glared. " Yeah! And you're the blame for it!" She pointed at Melanie.
I looked confused at Annie, but seeing the look on her face she was being serious. I decided that it should be better not to meddle in an argument between the two sisters. So I just watched and listened.
Melanie looked also pretty startled at Annie. " What?! I haven't seen you all week? What could I have possibly done to give you a bad mood!?
" Since you started dating Thomas again according to the magazines, people start to annoy me about if it's really true and that I should be lucky about you being my sister and everything.. Blablabla.. I just hate it!" Annie snapped.
Melanie was taken aback. " Sorry 'bout that, sis. You'll just have to deal with it. It will become better in while." Melanie tried to reason with Annie.
Annie just grumbled and walked out of the living room, straight to her room.
Melanie sighed and went sitting next to me again, her head resting on my shoulder.
" She will be okay. Just give her some time." I comforted her.
" I know.."
I pulled my arm around her shoulder and kissed the top of her head.
" All the people just need to get used to it. In a few months, everything will be back to normal again. I promise." I said.
She smiled weakly. " I know. Thanks."
" For what?"
" For being here for me." She answered.
" Anytime for you, love."
She grinned. " You're just the best boyfriend I could ever ask for."
" And you are the best girlfriend I could ever ask for." I said as I leaned my face a little closer to her.
She laughed and I pulled her in a hug.
Things were just so great. Being with her was the best thing that ever happened to me and I know that will never change.
