The Dawn in Aseana (Dream Chasers Series #1)

Prologue

"Are you sure that you really want to go back to the Philippines?" tanong sa akin ni Savi. Andito kami ngayon sa isang mall sa New York inaantay namin ang dalawa pa naming kaibigan. Napag usapan kase namin na mag kikita kita kaming apat bago ako bumalik ng Pilipinas.

"Hello Jace, where exactly in the earth are you right now? So unprofessional of you" iritang sagot ni Savi sa kanyang telepono kaya napa irap nalang ako. Sa 'di kalayuan ay natatanaw ko na si Reisha na papalapit sa aming gawi habang dala dala si Steffi, galing silang pilipinas may inaasikaso kase sila dito sa New York.

"Can you please walk faster? We've been waiting for you here since forever! My goodness!!" I just ignore her but the other customers that are peacefully drinking their coffee got disturbed by her.

"Thanks god you're finally here, Rei" she said as if a thorn had been pulled out of her chest. I don't know what's the problem of this girl today "What's your problem Savi? You'll age faster when you're always grumpy" She said and rolled her eyes, Savi did the same too "Where's Jace? Is it natural to be always late when you're working at a museum?" I just laugh at her.

"She said she's almost here and she said it for the 4th time but she's not yet here!" she shouted again. We are already used to her high-pitched voice.

"So Autumn, you are really decided to go back to the Philippines?" seryosong tanong sa akin ni Reisha kaya naman napa tawa ako sakanya dahil alalang alala sila sa pag babalik ko sa Pilipinas, ano bang mayroon doon? Monster? Ghost? 

"Of course, Rei. Ya'll are asking me as if there's a monster waiting for me there" I said while shaking my head because I can't believe that they really think that I'm not yet okay.

"Walang monster pero merong ghost, ghost of your past" Rei said while opening the jelly ace of Steffi "She won't listen, Rei. Let her, she's not a kid anymore" I get it. The reason why she's irritated because she doesn't like the idea of me going back to the Philippines.

"The great Jazel Grace is finally here" sabay tayo ni Savi at pumalakpak pa sa pag pasok ni Jace sa coffee shop, ang mga tahimik na nag kakape ay napatingin sakanya habang kami ni Rei ay hiyang hiya sa ginawa n'ya kaya napa yuko nalang kami pareho at umiling "Gaga umupo ka ako lang 'to" salubong ni Jace sakan'ya at nilaro si Steffi na nasa tabi ko.

"Bakit ba kase uuwi ka pa ng Pilipinas Autumn Serenity? Ano ba pumasok sa kukote mo at naisipan mo nanamang guluhin ang buhay mo at umuwi sa Pilipinas hanep din ng trip mo ano? Pumunta ka dito para mag simula ulit tapos babalik ka ng Pilipinas para mag simula ulit aba! Wala nang katapusan 'yang pag uumpisa ng buhay mo, 'te. Ano ba talaga gusto mo? Mag umpisa ng buhay o sirain ulit buhay mo? Kung gusto mo lang sirain buhay mo wag kana gumastos ng ticket papuntang pilipinas ako nalang sisira, paanong paraan mo ba gusto masira buhay mo ha?" sabi sa akin ni Jace pag balik niya dahil nag order siya ng cake para kay Steffi, kahit na sinabi na sakanya na huwag na dahil inuubo yung bata. Hindi ko sila maintindihan okay na okay na ako bakit parang sila 'tong hindi maka limot.

"Tumigil nga kayo sa ka OA-an ninyo. I said I'm fine okay? Kaya ko na, trust me" I said to assure them that I can do it. They all sigh at the same time.

"Guys, calm down. If that's what Autumn wants let's just let her decide for her life. Siya rin naman ang mag dadala if nag kamali siya ng desisyon diba? Let her wrong decisions be her lesson" I don't know if I should thank Rei for calming down the two girls but I know that Savi is not calm dahil ganyan siya tatahimik pag naiinis na, ayaw niya kasing nag sasalita pag galit siya dahil ayaw niyang pag sisihan kinabukasan yung mga sinabi niya.

Jace continue talking about how bad she doesn't want the idea about me going back to the Philippines but after a couple of days, she finally let go of me. Hinatid nila ako sa airport kahit na hindi sila pabor sa desisyon ko.
