AN: here's chapter 29. Enjoy people.

Third person's POV:

The six Vincenti brothers stood stock still around the coffin in the rain. People offered them their condolences, but nothing would heal the hole in their heart.

Isabella, Ashton and Alex were full on sobbing. Out of everyone there, they'd known Lila the longest.

The entire family were depressed that their little Princess had been taken from them. However, no one was more sad than Xander. He wished that he'd gotten closer to Lila. He wished he'd not been so mean to her.

Because now, it was too late.

The Vincentis had found out that Lila was being hidden in a warehouse in France, based on Drake's observations of the logo on the new table. They went to the owner and asked (read: threatened) for the list of people who'd bought the table. It took them a while but they'd gone there, guns blazing, only to find Jake dead on the ground and Lila nowhere to be found.

After the funeral, the Vincentis drove home. No one said anything. Once they reached their mansion, they went to their late sister's room.

When they got there, they found a white envelope placed neatly on the bed. Drake picked it up and opened it, reading the letter out.

Dear Drake, Axel, Alessandro, Vito, Olly and Xander,

If you're reading this, it means that you now know that I'm alive. By the way, it's me, Lila.

Drake's eyes widened, feeling a tiny flicker of hope.

After Jake died, (here, the pen was shaky and smudged with a teardrop) Mr. X, for some reason, didn't kill me. However, I want revenge. I want to kill him as a punishment for killing my two best friends (another teardrop).

It may take me weeks, months or even years, but I will succeed. After that, I will come home. Don't try to find me. Trust me, you won't succeed.

I love you all and I'll see you soon.

From,
Lila.

Drake finished reading and looked up. His brothers all had tears of joy in their eyes.

"She's alive," Xander whispered hoarsely, "she's alive."

Meanwhile, a girl with black hair and eyes like the ocean boarded a train. She clutched her backpack and pulled her hood up, locating her seat.

She sat down and gazed out of the window, thinking deeply about her next move.

Her first stop? New York.
