"22 year old..."
"Syncope-"
"Jenni, we...collar-"
"Vee, up the o² to another litre-"
"Jenni, whats the ETA?"
"10 mins, Vee"
The first thing that came to his consciousness were the voices. Their words coming in bits and pieces. What were these voices talking about? Who are they? What's going on? Why does his hand feel so heavy?
"Khun, please don't move" he hears a voice talking to him. He wasn't sure who it was exactly and why this person was here. Actually, where in the world is he? He pries his eyes open just a sliver and clenches them back shut, the bright light was too overwhelming and it flooded his senses. He groans in discomfort as he takes in everything that was going on around him.
He still doesn't know where he is and he couldn't bother to know, but he could feel something wet on the side of his head down to his ear and neck. He tries to move but he finds that something was restricting his head movement. And why in the world is his hand not moving!
He was getting more agitated by the minute, his head was throbbing so badly that he feels like his heart was beating there instead. And talking about his heart, it was doing that weird fluttering thing again, increasing in intensity and this time it hurts. It freaking hurts.
"Pa..pain" he tries to tell whoever it was there.
"Where?" The voice asked.
"Che-ch-chest" he rasps out. Oh God, what's happening to him.
His mind was blurring out and the voices were coming in and out. He thought he heard some questions but he couldn't concentrate enough to answer them, that fluttering sensation was coming more frequent now. His world was spinning despite his eyes being closed and he wants it to stop. He wants this whirlwind of pain and confusion to stop. His head hurts, his shoulder hurts, his chest hurt. Everything was suddenly screaming in pain.
"Mae, help" he tries to call out. "Pho, please, make it stop" he begs. "P'Mew, save me!"
He feels like he was drowning, and he was struggling to keep himself afloat. He was so tired, oh so tired. "P'Mew..." he breathes out one last time before he let go.

The trauma room was prepped the moment the EMTs radioed in, the doctors and nurses already on standby as the doors of the ambulance was thrown open.
"Status?" The young female doctor inquired as she and 3 other nurses pushed the gurney into the trauma room. Both Vee and Jenni rattled off Gulf's current status before handing him over. Gulf was blissfully unaware of the chaos that was going around him.
"Alright, chop-chop people." Dr Luna and her team got to work. "Stacey, can you check with radiology and see if they can slot in a head MRI, if they can't then please book a CT scan. Looks like a superficial injury but I'd rather be safe than sorry. And page Dr Su from neuro as well, get her on stand by."
One of the nurses nodded and immediately phoned radiology. "I need a line in, I need a full blood count, run the liver and renal panel as well. And where is my portable xray machine?" Dr Luna barked orders.
The whole trauma room was moving like a well oiled machine, Dr Luna ran a tight ship and all those around her knew exactly what needed to be done. Standard procedure called for routine bloods and a chest x-ray or more if there's a need, and a ECG/EKG.
An hour later and she had finished running all the assessments. The X-Ray had looked fine and she was still waiting for his blood work and the EKG reports to come back. Having sutured his head, they had sent him up to radiology for his MRI. The poor boy had woken up in the middle of the chaos while they were trying to clean him up, dazed and disoriented. That was not a good sign, and so Dr Luna had insisted on the MRI instead of the CT just to have everything covered.
