Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world

-Y/N POV-

Y/N woke up with a pounding headache. He opened his eyes to see where he was, but the light made that task agonizing. After allowing his eyes to adjust to the light, Y/N looked around. He seemed to be inside of a decently-sized igloo, with various decorations on the wall in a language he could not read. It was surprisingly warm in the igloo, even when he removed the fur blanket his hosts had so graciously provided him.

Y/N's hands had been tied together with a rope, one of poor quality, but luckily they were tied in front of him. Y/N let them wander to his head, where he had been hit with the boomerang. He felt the rough but welcome texture of bandages. Y/N buried his face into his hands, questioning how he had allowed himself to be captured by some pathetic tribespeople. He had surely disgraced his master. He noticed that he had been stripped of his armor and ax, and was now shirtless and dressed only in his training pants. Y/N tried to stand, but immediately felt lightheaded, so he sat back down on the bed he had been laying in.

Suddenly, someone gently opened the door to the igloo. Y/N's attention immediately went to them, the result of his training, trying to see if they were a threat. Instead, he was met with the girl from earlier, the cute one with hair loops. What had her name been? Katra? Guitara? His head started to hurt and he gave up guessing.

Katara: Oh, you're awake! [Nervously] Just a second, heh.

She practically sprinted out of the igloo. Moments later, Y/N overheard a few voices outside the igloo speaking in harsh whispers which he couldn't make out. 'Probably trying to figure out if they'll torture me before killing me or just skip to it,' thought Y/N, pursing his lips. He wasn't a big fan of being tortured, so he wasn't looking forward to it. He then thought about how his parents would react when they received news of his death, how his sister would. Spirits, he missed them. He felt a longing for home which had become all too familiar the past year. Oftentimes, he regretted ever joining Zuko in exile, wishing he had stayed with his family and friends. 'Oh well,' he thought, 'I suppose it doesn't make a difference now.'

They continued speaking, the voices growing louder and more aggravated. Y/N realized he had never studied Water Tribe torture techniques. This unsettled him, he preferred to know what he was going up against before it happened.

In an attempt to think of something else, Y/N thought about what he would do to escape. 'I need to get back to my ship, to Iroh and Zuko, but how am I supposed to do that? Fuck,' he paused for a moment, thinking hard. 'Realistically, what likely happened was that they boarded the ship and embarked without me, thinking I was on board. In that case, once they realize I am not there, they will come back here and free me! Besides, they have the Avatar with them already, so there's no danger in this village.'

The door opened once more, and three people entered. The first two, Y/N expected. The first was the Water Tribe boy, the one who threw the boomerang. He looked at Y/N with a glare, which, after seeing Y/N tied up, turned into a cocky smirk. Y/N did his best not to glare at him as well, knowing it would be in his best interest not to anger his captors.

The first was his sister, the Water Tribe girl. She looked at Y/N with an indistinguishable look, one that looked like a mix of anger and sympathy. 'Probably a trick to make me feel more at ease so I spill information. These guys are good, I need to be at my best when they torture me.'
