Is it weird that my grandfather gave me a knife?

I don't know what to do with it.

Anyway~

I apologize for the long wait. Things happened... And I wasn't sure how to handle it.

Also my account actually works properly now. So I can work on the book on my phone as well!

I hope you guys are doing well. Enjoy the chappie!

I was painting hard by the time Kaieke put the tube away. Each breath burned my throat and spit dripped off of my tongue, trying to cool my body down.

The green alien walked up to me and pet my head. "You did great today Annebelle." I pinned my ears and glared at him. Yeah yeah you stupid alien. Open the gate. I huffed and pawed at the gate.

Kaieke laughed and looked at the sun. "I guess we can take a break."

We're not done?! I gawked at him. This "gentle" alien is a sadist!

He opened the gate and I bolted towards my bowls. I lowered my head and gulped down copious amounts of water. It was still cold and provided relief to my aching throat. Thank heavens.

I saw Kaieke walk into the house, probably to go eat. Sheesh, that pacing exercise was a punch to the lungs. I emptied my bowl and layed down. The grass smells nice today...

My mind wanders.

I turn my eyes to the sky. I wonder how the others are doing. I've lost track of how long I have been here, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's been about six months.

I wonder if they are looking for me. Or even feel worried about my disappearance. Even though I couldn't really see the Black Rock from here, I could still feel it's pull.

It's weird, ever since I've came here, the pull has become a lot weaker. And, I feel like I've found what I've been missing. What that is, I have no idea. But I never knew I needed it to be stable.

I close my eyes.

Wait...

What will happen to the others if we destroy the Black Rock? My ears pulled back. It's their home. It used to be mine too, but I already know that I won't be able to go back. I... Don't want to. But even so, we can't destroy their home.

I huff. Distress climbing up on my spine.

What am I supposed to do? The Black Rock could potentially - no- will destroy the planet. But, these are the last of my race we're talking about.

I look at Kaieke, who was sitting on the porch, scuffling around a leather bag.

But, I can't let them die. Or this planet. We'll die along with it if I don't do anything. Our species might die out in the wild.

My eyes widen. We're technically not supposed to exist. I close my eyes and sigh out. I guess we die out either way. I'll be satisfied with saving the Kymari and the world.

One species is not worth an entire planet.

Melissa raised a nonexistent eyebrow when one of her pups stumbled over his own feet. William was out hunting. "You alright, Isaac?" She asked as she stood and walked over to her pup.

Isaac froze at her voice and looked up.

Melissa's hackles rose and a growl got caught in her throat. "Isaac sweetie?" She asked tentatively.

The pup shook his head and innocently blinked up at her. "Momma?"

Melissa shook het head. "Are you alright?"

The pup grinned. "Yup!" Isaac jumped up with a wagging tail, turning and running off to find his sister.

Melissa swallowed hard. "That was weird." But she couldn't erase the image from her mind.

Isaac's eyes were murderous.

The plot thickens!

I know this chapter is short, but it's really important to the story. It's like the saying goes : "The smallest bottle holds the deadliest poison."

Also, I have a cat. His name is Shinx.

Anyway.
