Xerine's POV

"That was an awesome speech, Miss Delgado." The master of the ceremony approached me after my speech about my new project on increasing the number of trees by buying the properties of others then giving them new homes.

"Sorry if I'm not that stable. My plane just landed three hours ago. But I guess the briefing went well." I smiled.

"It's better! We missed you after you stayed in Finland for three years," he commented.

I just bowed my head a little and walked past him. I don't have the luxury of time to talk. My guts are burning inside me. I can't afford to waste my time on a simple host.

I am Xerine Delgado. 24 years old. I'm living at peace with my gardens and farms. I'm a businesswoman and an activist. I always fight for the nature and environment. I stand with the hope that with my money and sources, I can make the Philippines a better country.

Maybe I sound too ambitious, but my endless love for trees is something that I'm proud of. I've been in love with trees and flowers since now and then. Thanks to my dead mother.

I stepped out of the venue. Those people stink. And the city is not really for me. The pollution kills me. I can't fucking stay here.

I can't fucking stand the pollution, but I need to attend a meeting on my company. My company is selling products that can make plants grow faster. We specialize in making products for the sake of nature.

People are wondering why I already have my own company despite my young age. I ain't young anymore, though. But, I was gifted with a high IQ. 186 the doctors and experts said.

I graduated from college and got my degree abroad at the age of 15. I've been battling around the business world for more than seven years. And my age can't stop me.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am." The security guard at the entrance of my building with a big smile plastered on his face.

"Same to you, Mister Nilo." I smiled back. "How are you after three years?"

"Better than usual, Ma'am. I'm still very thankful for the three scholarships that you gave to my children."

"Great then."

I entered my building with only 37 floors. Pots with flowers or some small plants can be seen anywhere. Pretty green.

I want to inhale even a bit of fresh air inside my own company. If I don't put any plants here, the sound of chattering and typing on the keyboard will stress me.

All employees greeted me with a smile on their faces. They are all wearing complete uniforms, neat hairstyles, and oh! Good choice of the scent of perfumes.

I rode the elevator until I reached my office. I calmly looked around. Seeing plenty of flower pots on this floor really suits me well.

I scanned my face on a screen before entering my office. My Devil's Ivy is still cute. Even my Peace Lilies and Philodendrons on top of the tables are looking good.

"Home sweet home." I smiled after spraying a small amount of water on the Bromeliads on my office table.

I quietly sat on my swivel chair and gently touched my Bromeliads. "Everything seems to be at peace."

The telephone rang in an annoying tone, so I answered it quickly. My ears are pretty sensitive. "What?"

"Good afternoon, Ma'am. The supplier for the ingredients on our new fertilizer is already here. The main owner wants to talk to you and eventually sign a contract."

"Let them in. Just tell them to fucking sanitize their whole body. I don't like stinking people." I played the telephone cord between my fingers. "And make sure that they are neat and clean."

"Noted, Ma'am."

I lazily dropped the phone. "I badly need to sleep. They just kept on disturbing my fucking day."

I slowly turn my gaze to the door. I lazily stared at three men entering my office. They are all wearing formal suits and looking like a piece of shit.

"Good day, Miss Delgado."

I laughed. "The only beautiful thing about today is me."

I stood up and guided them to sit down. "I guess you're not here to play poker with me, Mister."

"You are still that calmed face demon, Xerine."

I smirked and casually sat on my own office table. I played one leaf of Bromeliad on my hand while looking at them. "Can we please start? I just came from Finland."

"Sure." He handed me a piece of paper. "That's the contract. The ingredients are FDA approved. 93% is the effectivity to pla--"

I didn't let him finish his words. I ripped the paper into many pieces and let them fly to the air like fucking confetti.

"You said 93% only? My standard is 98 % to 100%. Sorry but I'm not going to sign a contract with you. Just go home and think about making your ingredients more effective."

I motioned my hand to the door. "Have a safe drive back to your own factory."

I saw how he gritted his teeth as he walked out with the two men. I laughed like a madwoman after hearing the slam of the door.

I looked at my plants and smiled like my happiness is based on how my plants will become after some time. "They are all stupid. Nature deserves the 100% effort from people."

I carried my Bromeliad onto my arms. I nurtured the plant like a baby. Brushing my long fingers to its pot and simply thinking about what happened to me when I was young.

My father killed my mother using a chainsaw. Funny because I just watched them. I can't do a single thing but watch.

My father buried my mom in our backyard. The vegetables that I planted there started to grow very well.

When my father died because of Prostate Cancer, our house became mine. Even the money of course. I used that to plant more trees and others around our house. But as I watched them grow, the vegetables which were planted on the same soil where my mom was buried are healthier.

That's why I came up with a very nice idea. I did a lot of researches. I did many experiments. And finally, I found a product that nature will love. Fertilizers.

People are the best fertilizers.
