Chapter 7: Surprise of a Lifetime

Kate's POV

"Okay Liz, can you take ten deep breaths for me?" I asked her. She nodded and was out by the fifth breath! "Okay, she's gone...you may begin!" I told the doctor. I can't imagine what this girl is going through! Every time Melody mentioned her before all of this happened I would feel so bad for her! I'm glad my niece is so kind-hearted, she got that from her father!

Melody's POV

"Hey. You okay?" I heard Tara ask. "Yeah, I'm okay! I'm just scared that something's going to go wrong, and I'm still mad at mom...so yeah!" I said! "And I'm trying to think of a way to surprise Liz with this whole sister thing! Got anything?" I asked. "No...sorry!" she said. "It's alright!" I said. I knew I had to tell her, I just didn't know how! "The reason I said no was because I know you...it'll all play out in the end and you'll find a way to tell her, give it time!" she said, being all grown. "You know, you're really good at that...giving advice and stuff!" I said. "Thanks!" she said, smiling! "Hey, I have to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back!" I said getting up and leaving.

Tara's POV

"I'm very disappointed in you!" my mom said while Melody was gone. I knew who she was talking to, but I chose to ignore her. I did the right thing, and my sister's proud of me for it...so no I don't regret breaking my promise to her! "Did you hear me?" she asked. "Yes! You have no right to be disappointed in me for this! This is YOUR fault, I shouldn't have had to have told her!" I said. "But you promised me you wouldn't say anything!" she said. "Okay, no! You don't get to pull that card! I did promise, and I regret it, but I wouldn't have if I had known aunt Kate was gonna do that!" I said getting aggrivated. "A promise is a promise, and you keep it regurardless!" she said, mothering. "Not if you don't like lying to your sister! I did the right thing, reguardless of what you say!" I said. "You can be as disappointed as you'd like, but God and everybody else...including you...knows that I did the right thing!" I continued, ranting. I was beginning to see why Melody didn't want to talk to her! She knows it's her fault but she continously acts like it's ours! "Hey Tara!" I heard the twins say. "Yeah?" I asked. "When Melody gets back from the bathroom, do you think you guys could sing for us, I'm sure everyone here would love to hear you!" Iris said. There were a lot of people in the waiting room, as you could probably imagine! It would be great exposure for us as singers! "Yeah I think she would love that!" I said, getting up

Melody's POV

"Hey, I'm back! What was all the screaming about?" I asked. "Don't worry about it! Wanna sing a couple songs for these people? It would be great exposure!" Tara said. "Absolutely!" I said. She knows I cant resist an oppurtunity to do what I love!! "Okay! Hey everyone, I'm Melody and this is my sister Tara...and we're Claire Squared (our middle names are both Claire, so that's why we call ourselves that)! The first song we're gonna sing is one of our own, it's called Invisible! I wrote this one myself, and dedicated it to my best friend...now sister, who is in surgery getting a blood transfusion! I really hope you like it!" I said signaling Tara to begin.

Kate's POV

"And that's all the blood...we're done here! I'll come up to check on her when she wakes up!" the doctor said. "Sounds good!" I said. "Well Liz...you did it! Now to pray that your body doesn't reject it!" I said softly. "Roll her back to her room, I have to talk to her family!" I instructed the other nurses. They nodded and did what I said. As I was walking up to the waiting room that they were in, I was running through what I would say! When I got up there, I could hear Melody and Tara singing...which wasn't surprising at all! They were almost done with this song, so I just kinda waited until they got done and clapped really loud so they could hear me!

Melody's POV

I heard aunt Kate clapping and motioned her over! We had just finished covering Unstoppable, since that was our most popular cover on YouTube! "How'd it go?" I asked. "Great, she did fantastic!" she said. "Thank God!" I said, relieved. "You're gonna have to wait until she wakes up to go see her though, okay?" she said. "Okay!" I said.

An hour or so later, I saw a doctor walk into Liz's room...so I creeped to her door and listened in on their conversation! "How do you feel?" the doctor asked her. "I feel great!" she said. "Good, I'm so glad! Thank your sister though, she's the one who donated for you!" the doctor said! I was thinking "OH CRAP! She really just did that, didn't she?!?!" Now I really have to act fast! "Wait...my sister?!?! I don't have a sister!" Liz said. "Yes you do, she's got the same blood type and DNA as you!" the doctor said. "If you're so sure, then who is it?? Liz asked the doctor. By this point I had gotten Tara, because she had the picture of Liz's birth certificate on her phone! "Here goes nothing" I whispered to Tara then got up off the ground and started walking into her room!

"Liz...it's me, I'm your sister!" I said.
