When the devil loves me

As silence numbs my body, air becomes wiry, and my lungs enlarge.

Images flash through my mind and reiterate trauma, that my youth adventured.

Memories redirected. Horrendous events become junctures, that overflow with euphoria.

My acidic tears crawl down my body and create a comforting bubble bath.

My howl roars of laughter.

Visions repeat till I'm conscious.

Paralyzed in fear, not knowing which side of the torture is my reality.
