I ventured down to the quidditch stands along with the rest of the Gryffindor's. I had hoped to have spent the time watching the match with Blaise but he seemed to be distancing himself from me lately. I took a seat at the front of the stand, smiling briefly at Harry, Ron and Hermione who we're sat not too far behind me.
"Hey Alexis."
I glanced to my side to see Neville take a seat beside me.
"Oh, hey Neville." I said, trying to keep the disappointment out of my voice.; I had been expecting someone else.
"I'm guess you want Slytherin to win. Not hufflepuff. You know- Skylar being on the Slytherin team and all."
"Well actually, I'd quite like to see them loose. It's about time they lost a match to some other than Gryffindor." I replied, grinning.
Neville smiled and opened his mouth to reply when a voice drawled out from behind him.
"I wonder what Skylar would think of you saying that, Alexis."
I turned and glared at Draco. "You wouldn't dare."
He smirked "Oh I would and you know I would."
Usually, this statement would probably have provoked me to want to curse him. But today, I had to force my lips to hide a smile.
"Move Longbottom. Or I'll hex you over that stand." Draco said, all amusement vanishing from his voice.
Neville quickly scurried away and I smiled apologetically at him as he glanced back. I could hear Ron cursing Draco under his breath but he-and Harry- seemed too distracted today to be bothered with the likes of Malfoy.
"You didn't have to be so mean." I said scornfully to Draco as he slid next to me.
I couldn't help but notice how nice he smelled- it reminded me of mint.
"As if you would want to sit next to him more than me."
I shrugged. "Maybe I did."
"Don't lie Alexis, it doesn't fit in with your good girl image." Draco stated.
"I don't have a good girl image!" I fired back.
He tore his eyes away from the pitch and locked eyes with me. Just as madam hooch blew the whistle. "Prove it."
His eyes had a playful look in them and I quickly looked away knowing I was about to grin.
"Oh shut up Malfoy and let me watch the match in peace." I said in pretence annoyance.
Malfoy smirked and the crowd in the opposite stand erupted into cheers; Slytherin scored.

The match had ended with a large victory to Slytherin. Draco, Skylar and I were now all gathered around a small table at the back of the library. Draco, lounging back with his hands behind his head, staring at Skylar as she recounted her 'award-worthy' catch but his gaze occasionally flickered back to me.
"I'm hoping we win the cup. We're pretty even with Gryffindor at the moment." Skylar chirped.
Draco laughed. "We'll slaughter them in the next match Sky, don't worry."
"I'll slaughter you in a minute." I mumbled which caused Draco to smirk.
"Are you playing next match Draco or am I standing in whilst you, um- finish what you have to do?" Skylar asked, sounding slightly hesitant in her choice of words.
Draco shrugged. "Depends. I might play just to have a close-up shot of Alexis's face when we secure our place in the final."
The corners of my mouth worked up into a confident smile. "Just you wait Draco."
"Oh I will." He said leaning forward in his chair and smirking.
Skylar laughed which caused Draco to turn to her and flash her secret smile before planting a kiss on her cheek. Skylar blushed.
A burning feeling shook through my -now tensed- body. Skylar obviously noticed this.
"Are you okay?" She asked, her cheeks now returned to their usual colour.
"Yeah, I'm just feeling a little ill." I lied. "I think I'm going to go. Have a good night." I said before hastily standing up and leaving a stunned Skylar behind whereas Draco watched me leave with an intense look upon his face.
Perhaps I was ill. Maybe being exposed to the chilled air had had an effect on me. But deep, deep down, I knew it was nothing of the sort.
A/N- i'm finally back and updating again. So sorry for the delay. I hope you guys enoy this chapter. Vote? And just out of interest, are you all for Skylar and Draco? :) xoxo - Ne
