A/N- Ne here. Once again, not one of my best but i hope you like it anyway. :)
Alexis’s POV-
As I rose the next morning, the sweet chirping of the birds washing a calm feeling of peace over me, I let my mind ponder. What was I going to after yesterday’s events? Find Malfoy and make him pay? No- I was above that. If I could help it, I would not resort to the actions he chose. But, that was one promise I was not willing to make sure of keeping as, with Malfoy, I never knew what was going to happen next.
After studying Unicorns first lesson in Care of Magical Creatures, the remaining hours of the day past in a blur. Harry, after finding out, from a gloating Malfoy, that I was sharing his detention informed me that it would take place in the dungeons at 8.00 pm.
Night arrived far too quickly for my liking and at 7:45, I began to make my way down to the potions classroom. As I was slowly, dragging my feet along the second floor, my head hanging low, I accidently knocked into someone and sent both of us flying down the remaining flight of stairs.
My body was, once again, aching in agony.
“Not again.” I groaned.
“You did that on purpose Gilbert!” I heard none other than Draco Malfoy hiss furiously.
I rolled over and slowly rose from the ground; Facing Malfoy, who was already on his feet.
“Actually I did not Malfoy. For all I know, you probably did it on purpose.” I said my eyes aflame.
He let out an angry growl. “Do you honestly think that I would throw us both down the stairs just so I could hurt you?”
“Well you always have taken an interest in the circus Malfoy or was that Parkinson? I can’t really tell, you both look like clowns.” I said sarcastically, a smile fighting to break through. I resisted.
He suddenly drew his wand and pointed it at me.
I sighed. “Look, this situation seems awfully familiar with me Malfoy and if you can remember the outcome was not good for the last person to try this. So I suggest you put that wand away.”
“And if you can remember from the last 4 years, I’m much more skilled with a wand than Parkinson is. So, any requests? How about- Petrificus Totalus?”
I was just about to retort when I stern voice rang from the top of the staircase. “Malfoy, how dare you make such a threat! 20 points from Slytherin and be thankful it isn’t more. And Gilbert, where are you off to at this time of night?”
“I have a detention with Professor Snape, Professor McGonagall.”
She smiled. “Yes, he did mention how shocking it was that two Gryffindor’s had a detention with him tonight. Well why you don’t take Mr Malfoy along with you, I’m sure Professor Snape would appreciate the extra help. Alough I doubt he will be doing the actual cleaning.”
Draco glared at Professor McGonagall before turning his acidic gaze on me. I ignored him and turned on my heel, heading towards the dungeons. Once out of the eyesight and earshot of McGonagall, Draco quickly caught up with my pace and pushed me out of his way, causing me to slam into the stone wall.
“Move out of the way Gilbert!”
I shoved him back whilst locking eyes with him. “Why don’t you, Malfoy!”
A ghost of a smile played at his lips but it was soon replaced with another glare in a matter of seconds.
“If you ever do that again, you’ll be sorry.”
I rolled my eyes and sighed as he stormed down the stairs leading towards the dungeons. This was going to be a very long night…
