Alexis-
Draco's eyes widened in fear before soon hardening in fury; the rest of his face becoming a passive mask. No screams or frenzied movements could be heard elsewhere- they must have cast some sort of a silencing charm. The train rattled on...
"We have to go after them." I said, abruptly standing up. "Now Draco!"
"You stay here." He ordered, barely even meeting my eyes as he attempted to open the compartment door. "I'll get her back."
I caught the door, glaring at him forcefully. "I'm coming."
"To hell you are!" He responded. "Im going alone!"
Footfalls were suddenly heard approaching the end of the train- our end of the train. Both of our heads shot up at the same time. It was Damon.
His eyes flickered from Draco's face to mine as he took in my flushed cheeks and tousled hair. "What happened?"
"Greyback was on the train. He attacked Alexis." Something flickered in Damon's eyes. "And they've taken Skyler; I'm going after them."
"I'll come with you."
Draco shared a look with him before nodding once without any sort of refusal.
Draco reached out and pulled me back. "You're staying on the train!"
Fury invaded my face as my hand plunged into my pocket and drew out my wand. "Draco I swear I'll curse you if you try to stop me again!"
"Draco." Damon warned.
I was surprised by the way he said his name- it was almost as if it were familiar to him. What was with those two anyways? They barely knew each other! And yet Draco had just invited him along to save his girlfriend. But- in the back of my mind- I knew there was some history between the two of them, i sensed it when they 'first' met; now just wasn't the time to question it. Besides, we could use the extra strength.
"Alright." Draco finally said, defeated. "But you're waiting outside!"
"To hell I am." I muttered under my breath and I briefly saw a smirk dancing on Damon's lips. And something told me, if we hadn't been in that situation, Draco may have mirrored Damon's expression.
"Where are we apparating to?" I asked; realising, all of a sudden, I had not the tiniest incline as to where Skyler would be.
Draco pulled out his wand- as did Damon- and glanced quickly behind him, making sure the train's corridor was still deserted. I placed a hand on Damon's upper arm as we prepared to apparate.
Draco raised his wand and, just when I thought he would completely ignore my question he said "Malfoy manor." A hint of venom in his tone. "They'll have taken her to Malfoy Manor."
**
The three of us landed on solid ground. My vision wavered slightly before returning to its normal state just as a black shape appeared In front of us. Before I had time to react, I was shoved to the ground.
Damon raised his wand- looking frighteningly dangerous- and brought it down, a large gash appearing across the man's chest; his eyes widened slightly before he collapsed in a heap on the floor. Surely that had been dark magic.
"I apologize for that." Damon said, appearing at my side and gently helping me up. "It was nothing personal."
"The use of magic is forbidden-"
"They can't detect it here; there are wards up." Draco said who was already at the gates, placing his wand against them; they slowly began to open. I assumed they must be enchanted to recognise the bloodline of the Manor's occupants.
"Keep quiet." He instructed, keeping his wand held high as we entered the grounds. "We'll use the entrance down to the cellar."
As soon as we had begun the task of reaching the cellar- via descending stone stairs- we were plunged into darkness. Draco lit the torches lining the walls with a short flick of his wand.
Once we had reached the cellar, it was already clear to me that we were alone. But Draco still insisted on checking the other passages leading off into different parts to the manor; I suspected part of him hoped he would find Skyler there.
"We're alone." He concluded finally.
"And now?" I asked, making sure to keep my voice low.
Draco opened his mouth to reply just as a scream ripped through the Manor. At first the noise seemed to be closing in on me from all angles; I whirled my head around, looking for the source. And when I finally looked towards the cellars entrance again -Draco was gone.
The scream sounded again. I attempted to run forward, to follow Draco, when Damon- who must have predicted my intentions- seized me by the waist.
"Damon, let go!"
"Why? So you can go and get yourself killed?"
The lights were suddenly extinguished; a dark laughter filled the cellar. My heart began beating rapidly and Damon's arms loosed. I spun around. "Wha-" I began put Damon pressed a single finger against my lips.
"Have you come to save your friend?" The voice of Fenrir Greyback asked mockingly; his footsteps drawing closer, and closer from one of the passageways Malfoy had searched earlier.
"Don't move." Damon whispered into my ear before moving away and vanishing into the darkness.
The sudden silence seemed to span over several minutes even though I knew it had only been a few seconds. Slowly, I drew out my wand.
"You! What are you d-"
A sudden bang echoed around the cellar and I immediately flew forward. "Damon?!" I called frantically, rounding the corner.
Fenrir was unconscious on the floor whilst Damon stood above him, wand still raised. "Obliviate."
"Now we move?" I asked, hearing shouts in the distance.
Damon flashed me a quick grin. "Now, the real fight begins."
And then we ran.
A/N- I haven't edited it yet so i apologise for any errors. Also, sorry for not updating on time, i get distracted extremely easily. Enjoy! x Spamming you with Damon again WOOPS.
