Pain and Happiness

Josh POV

I am going in today for a vasectomy. We are done having kids. I am glad to do this so Colleen doesn't have to do anything more medically. Matt is bringing me as Colleen has to stay home with the kids and its a very small procedure. Colleen kisses me and hugs me and says "thank you". I hug her back "anything to keep you away from the hospital thank you" I say jokingly. Matt pulls up and I jump in the car. He is laughing at me but I don't care. I just want to get this done and over with and have no more worries when I am with Colleen. I get to the hospital and hop out. Matt follows me and waits for me in the waiting room. I walk in and am a bit nervous but I just keep thinking of Colleen. Time goes by and I am walking out. I am a little sore and Matt is laughing at me. "don't laugh Matt you will be here soon" I say. He laughs. I want to get home to Colleen. She opens the front door when she sees Matts car pull up. She is yelling out to me "Did you loose your manhood?" laughing. "SSSSSSHHHHHH Colleen the neighbours will hear you!!" I say laughing trying to get into the house as fast as possible. Rachel is in the front hall making fun of my wobble now. I put my head down and sulk. Colleen comes up to me and hugs me and throws some frozen peas for me to throw down my pants. I laugh.

Colleen POV

Love this man. He does everything he can for me including getting a vasectomy so I don't need to do anything like that. I walk with him upstairs so he can lay down and I get him some Tylenol. He crawls into bed and turns on the TV to relax. "love you baby" I say and kiss him. "I am glad you are home safe and sound"  I add. Josh hugs me.

A few days later Josh is totally fine. He is in the pool with the kids as I do some gardening. We are going to be having a birthday bbq/pool party. he knows about the party but he doesn't know I am flying his family in as a surprise.I cannot wait to see his face. 

one month later---

The day of Joshs birthday party. We have everyone over. Kids and adults are in the pool and Josh is at the BBQ and has a beer in his hand. I am in the house getting food when I hear a knock at the front door. Its his parents and sister, Chris,Jeremy,Erin and kids. "Colleen!!!" Lisa says "you look fabulous! I cannot believe #3 is on the way!" she says laughing. "Me neither" I reply. "Josh is around back but I want to say something about getting him his birthday gift and he will look at the sliding doors and you guys can step out ok?" I ask. Everyone nods. "Joshua" I say as he stands at the bbq. He turns around "Ya babe?" "I have your birthday present can you close your eyes so I can bring it out?" I ask him. "Sure" he says. and covers his eyes and turns away. As people start seeing who is walking through to the pool area people start whispering and smiling. "Ok Joshua turn around" I say as his family are all standing there. He turns around and starts crying. "Oh my god" he says and runs to his Momma first. I start crying watching him hug every single one of his family members. He is so happy. Finally he walks over to me and dips and kisses me and everyone cheers. Such a wonderful day! I love my man.
