Chapter 19

I woke up early not meaning to so I just grumbled and rolled over.

" Hi "

Jacob whispered. I guess even when I was a sleep I knew when he was here.

I opened my eyes to see he was laid down beside me in my bed too.

" It's 5am what are you doing here? "

" I get bored I've explained this before "

" Well since you like to break in my room at 5am then you are now my pillow "

I said putting my head on his chest.

" It's not breaking in if you don't have a lock "

" I can hear the judge laughing now "

I could feel his eyes burning a hole in my head even when I didn't have my eyes open.

" Why are you so freaking hot? "

" I was born this way "

" I mean temperature wise smart ass I mean your like a heating pad that's why your forever my pillow "

" It's a wolf thing "

" Well it works for you "

" Yep the lady's love it "

I opened my eyes and glared at him

" What lady's? "

" Oh you know the ones that call me their pillow "

" This girl sounds really attractive "

" Oh but she is "

" I should tell you about all the guys I use as pillows "

He immediately stiffened

" I'm joking you can lose the claws "

I said smirking and getting up

" Where are you going? "

" Well since I'm up I'm going to change and then go for a walk "

" Can I come? "

" Either way you would so yes "

He smirked

" You know me well "

I changed into my grey tank top and black shorts.

" Let's go! "

I said walking out of the bathroom

" I've never seen you wear any other color except in a bikini "

" Yeah well it's a vampire thing so they made me do it but now it's the only things I own so I have no choice "

" I would never have guessed vampires have a dress code? "

He said laughing as we finally got into the woods.

" Well if you hung out with them you would realize they are stricter then they appear "

" What's that? "

He asked pointing to my neck I knew exactly what he was referring to. The reason no one usually noticed was because I never wore my hair up but today I was wearing it up.

" A scar "

" Well duh but how did you get it? "

" I don't know I can't remember I have a lot of battle scars "

Half true

" I know your lying Tay "

" No I'm not "

" Yes you are because if it was true you would have just said a battle scar but you didn't "

I sighed. This has to be the worst part about having someone so close to you they know if your lying.

" I don't want to talk about it "

" Today we're just going to practice fighting each other okay? "

Eric informed me

" But I don't want to fight you I could hurt you "

" Well you need to learn to cover up your emotions on the battle felid you can't think with your heart "

" Fine "

I whined and we got it starting positions and began to fight. He ended up pinning me on the floor.

" Come on Taylor you have to at least try "

He said smiling

" It's kinda hard when I have you distracting me with your shiftlessness "

He laughed and we both just kinda starred at each other I leaned in for a kiss but then quickly pushed him off me and pinned him to the floor.

His face was priceless

" Now who's distracted "

I teased him smiling proudly

" Have to admit that was a good move you always need to use others feelings against them in battle "

" Your impossible "

I huffed

" And how is that? "

" I'm trying to play girlfriend not warrior idiot "

He looked confused and I rolled my eyes but then I think he caught on.

" Ohhhh I get it now "

He said and I laughed

" Typical boy always clueless "

Then he caught me off guard by pressing his lips to mine. I was still on top of him from pinning him to the ground so this was definitely a new kinda kiss for me.

As we kept kissing every second got faster and more needy for the both of us. All of a sudden he flipped us over and now he was on the top.

" You know we're in a gym right? "

I asked in between kisses

" No ones here though don't worry "

" Needy much? "

I joked as I kissed him he started kissing my neck and all of a sudden I felt a horrible stinging pain.

I screamed

He immediately pulled away

" I'm so fucking sorry Taylor "

He told me I could see fear in his eyes but I couldn't say anything my neck was burning it felt like it was on fire.

--------------------present day

I ended up in bed for days. Apparently one of his fangs scratched a hole into my neck when he was kissing my neck. Vampire teeth were like venom to human skin.

It wasn't that I was mad at him for that I just didn't want to remember how it used to be.

He was right about one thing. You have to cover up your emotions so your enemies can't use them.
