" THIS FEELING ALWAYS GETS AWAY WISHING I COULD HOLD ON LONGER
IT DOESNT HAVE TO FEEL SO STRANGE TO BE IN LOVE. " - rihanna✧*。 02; LOVE AT FIRST TEXT 。*✧
ー jade smith." you don't understand, i need to go to soundset ! It's like the only time A$AP Rocky is going to be touring for months," Jade complained as she pulled her Kate Spade backpack from her locker. She and Myah headed out to the buses as Jade tried to explain her predicament. Soundset was in three weeks and she just had to go to see A$AP Rocky preform, but she had no ride. Kelsey had gotten her license taken away two days ago and there was no way she would ever tell her parents that she was going to a hip hop festival, considering they absolutely despised that 'rap crap', so she was pretty much stuck.
"Why don't you guys uber there," Myah asked as they boarded the extremely humid school bus. They took their seats in the back and watched as the freshman yelled and jumped about. "Broke," was all Jade could answer with. Her friend just shrugged not knowing how else to help her. So for five minutes Jade just sat in silence depressed about the whole situation while Myah was glued to her phone. The bus took off. Jade was so ready to go home. It had been too long of a day and she hadn't even seen Josh since he left early for football stuff.
And as if that wasn't bad enough some dude in her friends woodshop class carved 'Trump 2016' onto his slab. That was extremely triggering to hear about. "I wonder if Josh supports Trump" Jade muttered aloud. Myah kept her eyes glued to her phone, her long acrylics clacking away as she responded, "Who knows. Ask him." Jade knew that her friend was joking but for some reason she thought it would be funny if she did actually ask him. "Should I actually," she laughed.
Myah looked up and snorted. "Oh my god yes please. Actually do it, I have his number," she pleaded. The two girls unbelievably switched phones as Myah typed Josh's number (the two weren't exactly friends but they knew each other) into Jade's iMessage. They both were muttering 'no way' 's and 'oh my god' 's as for God knows what reason Jade decided to randomly text Josh Woodbeck. The decision was so out of the blue but without even thinking about it Jade sent the text.
Jade:
do you support trump ?As soon as the blue bubble showed up both girls screamed as loud as they could. Every other person on the bus looked their way, they often were the loudest ones, but the two barley even noticed because they were too caught up thinking about Josh. "Tell me what he says as soon as he responds," Myah demanded as the bus arrived at Jade's stop. She promised she would as she got off and headed home. Once inside she paced around the kitchen not even wanting to look at her phone. But as soon as she heard the chime her heart beat faster than ever.
Josh Woodbeck:
who is this ?Jade:
do you support trump ?Josh Woodbeck:
tell me who this is and i'll answer your questionJade didn't know what to say. She didn't want to expose herself and end up being embarrassed, but she still wanted to talk to him. She debated giving a fake name but she decided that coming up with a lie would be best. And lucky for her she was an extremely good liar. It only took her a few moments before she had a half ass pathetic lie to back her up.
Jade:
you probably don't know me but my name is Jade. my friend Myah Keller and i have a history assignment where we have to take polls of who people support in the presidential candidacy. my friend gave me a ton of random numbers to ask and yours must have been one of themJosh Woodbeck:
oh okay. and i think both candidates are trash but i would have to say Hillary because Trump is the biggest piece of shitJade:
ok coolJade didn't want the conversation to end there. She wanted him to engage with her and ask for her snapchat or something. But she knew that the chances he would be interested in a complete random, and kinda creepy, number was very unlikely. The way you yearn for your favourite artist to sing a few more song towards the end of a concert so the night didn't end, was exactly how Jade felt about this situation with Josh.
She had imagined this very moment in her mind a million times before; only by now Josh would have called her up begging to meet her. It was a little more complicated than that in real life however. So just wanting to speak with her man for even a few more minutes, already knowing the answer to her question because of excellent social media stalking, she pulled a question out of her ass to continue their conversation.
Jade:
not to bother you anymore but i have one more question for the polls ! do you happened to listen to hip hop ? A$AP Rocky or Kendrick Lamar or anything ?Josh:
yeah i love asap !Jade:
awesome me too ! so far everyone ive asked has said they don't listen to him so it's good to know someone has taste lol !Josh:
yeah haha i know every song by him !Jade:
me too ! are you going to soundsetJosh:
yep !Jade:
it's going to be lit lolJosh:
yeah haha"Jadey I'm home," Jades mother called walking through the garage door. Jade quickly shut her phone off and shoved it in her bag so her mother wouldn't snoop. She said hello back and sulked into the couch turning her attention to the tv. She would have to leave her conversation with her man alone for now. And despite her favourite tv show being on, all Jade could think about was how she had just left Josh Woodbeck on read.
