I'd like to think that grief goes both ways
A selfish part of me believes so
That its not only us here on earth, drenched in tears
Those who left us also leave with sorrow

That it is also hard for them to take angel's hand
No matter how warm the light
The thought of leaving us behind
And not being able to put up a fight
That they look back on earth and too feel pain
Just like we feel the shards of loss in our hearts
Thinking "did I live my life in vain?
God so many moments of life I wont be a part
Like seeing her graduate, or walk down the aisle
Say I do and see her children's smile"

There are still so many things they would like to do
But God must have a plan
To help us out of the blues
Believe that they will be in peace
Up in the heavens
And maybe soon we would be too.
