Chapter 17

"What have you done, Amaya?" galit na giit ni kuya sa akin nang nakaalis na ang mga bata.

I told him that Keiran is sick and I'm not sure who his father is. Kaya naman ngayon ay hindi na mapakali si Kuya.

"I'll talk to Phoenix—"

Agad naman akong naalarma dahil sa kanyang sinabi.

"Kuya, please. Wag. Phoenix doesn't know where I am right now."

He raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms.

"Phoenix or Aidan can help you take care of Keiran, Amaya. Naisip mo ba yun?" giit niya.

Bumuntong hininga ako at hindi na nakipagtalo sa kanya.

Alam ko namang kaya nila akong tulungan. Pero aasa ang isa na akala niya'y siya ang ama ng anak ko o kung hindi man aasa ay baka hindi nila tanggapin ang anak ko at ayaw kong mangyari iyon.

"Io, who's your guest?" I heard Mommy's voice behind my back.

My mother gasped while my father looked shocked that I'm right in front of them.

"Amaya?" Mom called me then he walked slowly towards m at agad niya akong niyakap.

"Where have you been, anak? We've been... we've been trying to find you for years!" hagulgol ni Mommy habang si Daddy ay nakiyakap sa aming dalawa ni Mommy.

"I'm sorry, Ma, Pa. I got scared." I told them, trying to hold back the tears.

"Why? What happened? Tell us and we'll listen, anak." Dad said.

And they did listen to me.

After an hour of talking to them about what happened, on whom I asked for help and Keiran's situation, they did listen to me.

They wanted to sue Aidan for doing things while I'm drunk but I told them that it was a long time ago and things already happened. So, they let that go.

What they can't let go is getting a DNA Result to know who really is Keiran's father.

"Daddy!" I heard the familiar little girl's voice as she entered the house.

"Me and kuya Kei had fun! Tomorrow again?" the girl asked Kuya as he carried her in his arms.

"Mama," Kei called me as he held my pinky finger. Hiding behind me while staring at my parents who's ready to welcome him.

"Kei," I said as I sat down in front of him.

"Meet my Mommy and Daddy, your grandparents." I said as I gave him a little push.

Mommy and Daddy sat down to my son's level as Keiran is shyly walking towards them. Nag mano naman siya at natuwa naman sila Mommy at Daddy.

I stood up and looked at my brother who looked proud at my son.

"Hi, hijo. Anong pangalan mo?" Daddy asked as he patted Kei's head.

"Keiran po,"

"You're five years old?" Mommy asked.

"Opo." my son answered then looked at me.

"I think I know who the father is." Kuya whispered in my ear and I got confused.

"Amaya," naalarma ako sa pag tawag sa akin ni Mommy kaya naman bigla akong humarap sa kanya.

Kinabahan ako, akala ko kung ano na ang nangyari kay Keiran, iyon naman pala ay nabuhat ni Daddy si Kei at tuwang-tuwa silang dalawa doon.

"The bird who rose in it's ashes," tukso pa ni Kuya habang karga-karga ang kanyang anak.

Hindi ko na gets ang kanyang sinabi ngunit naintindihan ko pang dahil sa isang salitang ginamit niya.
