Jasprit Bumrah and Mohommad Siraj, couldn't wait for the Aus's first inning to start more sooner. They were literally counting seconds for the beginning of their innings because of a certain Kohli. A certain Kohli, who was literally breathing down their necks, fussing over them, worse than madam Pomfrey.

"Bhaiya...I'm fine," Siraj found himself speaking for the hundredth time, when Virat held his hand gazing at his bruised slightly red finger like he was the one hurt not Siraj.

"Shut up, Miyaan! How does it look fine to you? See...how red your finger has become!!!" Virat exclaimed continuing pressing ice on Siraj's finger.

"Areey...it's fine bhaiya. I've had worse," Siraj said, confused about the over-fussing by his brother. The background he came through such injuries weren't considered injuries at all. They had to make do, for there wasn't any other option. They didn't have the luxury to call it a day and rest. He had seen his father drive auto all-day with burning fever for that's how life had been for them. Even a day rest would have cut food from their plates and maybe, the neglecting health had taken a toll on his father.

The luxury he promised his father, his father could never really enjoy it all. His hard work for them, the neglect of his own health to take care of them had the final say. Thinking about his father as anything but alive was still hard but Siraj was getting there and the injury really wasn't that much. He could go on with it.

"You had too...doesn't mean you need too now," Virat's words were soft and full of understanding.  Siraj could just look at Virat, not knowing how Virat always guessed where his thoughts were going? The atmosphere around them was a little somber for a few fleeting seconds but how could Virat let anything be somber around him?

"Jinksyyyyy Babyyyyy" He called, startling almost everyone around him and making Jinks who was sitting near the entrance of the dressing room splutter indignantly, glaring daggers at his bestie.

What the hell is this idiot thinking? At least, he shouldn't yell like this in front of the kids.

"What!! don't look at me like that, I just wanted to tell you don't use my dear Siri in bowling just yet,"

"Bhaiyaaa...I can bowl, I'm fine!!!"

Siraj protested even before Jinks could open his mouth to reply. Virat just gave Siri a look which shut him up alright and then turned to Jinks expectantly. Jinks didn't quite know what to do with this guy?

"I wasn't planning to Vi. I am going to go with Jassi," Jinks replied in his eternally patient tone. Well,  Virat was being childish enough for both of them. He shouldn't be adding to it and the snickering kids all around them, wasn't at all helping the matters.

Virat and his kids. All of them were insane. Each and Everyone of them.

"But Jassi got hit on the helmet too," Virat complained looking at Jinks eyes wide with disbelief and Jassi felt it would be better if he could disappear and why did Jinks bro take his name anyway? Virat bhai has just stopped fussing over him when the physio reassured and re-reassured him, he was fine.

"He is fine, Virat!" Jinks declared rolling his eyes and Virat couldn't help but scowl. How the hell his kids looked fine to Jinks? They just got hit and couldn't jinks start the bowling spell with Shami or Navi?

But the glint in Jinks eyes let Virat know arguing was futile. Grumbling, he snatched the gloves and helmet from a snickering Rahul sitting beside him. Well, Rahul was supposed to massage Jassi's head on Virat's orders but Rahul was resting his own head on Jassi's shoulder muttering about "Mother hen Captain" to the poor soul.

"Siri... for you, use them only," Virat said handling the equipment to his poor Siri. Who took them obediently letting Rahul know it wasn't in his hand to reject this, their Captain would have forced it on them someway or another.

Rahul just rolled his eyes, well, aware of his brother's habit. Virat has just ordered some new personalized helmets and gloves for Jassi too, who knew arguing was futile. If it was up to Virat na, he would have made them even field covered from head to toe in protective gear. Their brother worried so much about their injuries and Jassi really was feeling fine.

As Jinks took over pressing Siraj's finger in ice on Virat's insistence. Virat moved over to Jassi massaging his head gently, fingers softly checking for any bumps or pain areas. Rahul just clung to Jassi, closing his eyes. He was going to make Virat get him new gloves and helmet, after all.

When the break got over and the players were finally let out on the field. Jassi and Siri couldn't have escaped the changing room any faster, afraid, Virat will really find some excuse to keep them back. Noticing, Virat's Hawkish gaze Jinks couldn't help but give Shami the first over knowing dinner will be called after that over and maybe the combined rest would be enough for Virat.

Jassi climbing on him and Siri's eyes begging him to allow them to bowl, wasn't helping the matters too.

God, Virat's kids with his deadly puppy gazes will get him killed someday! Jinks decided exasperated as he handed Jassi the second over, not at all daring, to look towards the dugouts. But when Jassi got his first wicket on his first ball. Jinks checked the dressing room and Virat was jumping up and down, all proud and even trying to make an absolutely reluctant looking Rahul jump around with him.

Jinks couldn't believe this child was going to be a father soon. God, even now some days he gets totally surprised watching Virat handle the kids. Big brother Virat! he never ever imagined. He couldn't ever add mature and Virat in same line but somehow, his bestie has turned to be both.

He decided noticing Jassi send cheeky grins towards the dressing room.

Well, he just hopes he doesn't have to bear the winnings of his mother hen cheeku all night.
