“ I promise that I'll be at SHIELD when you need me. ”

"It's good to be a lunatic." The Doctor sang as I entered the console room. He and Rose were listening to a song I didn't recognise so I chose not to reveal myself, wanting to see where this was going. I honestly had no idea that my sister liked the type of music. Nor the Time Lord, for that matter.
"That's what you are. A big old punk with a bit of rockabilly thrown in." My sister shook her head in disbelief. "Does Lil know about this?"
My boyfriend ignored her question. "Would you like to see him?"
"How'd you mean? In concert?"
"What else is a TARDIS for?" Well, I mean, I'm not certain that's what the Time Lords had in mind when they... You know what? I'll let him be. "I can take you to the Battle of Trafalgar, the first anti-gravity Olympics, Ceasar crossing the Rubicon...or...Ian Dury at the Top Rank. Sheffield, England, Earth, 21st November, 1976. What do you think? When Lilly wakes up, obviously."
"Sheffield it is!" The blonde paused for a moment as the time machine shook violently - causing the Time Lord and Rose to land on the floor (fortunately, I was able to hold onto the railing). "She's gonna be peeved that we chose where to go without her again."
"Yes, I am. And who's she? The cats mother?" I piped up from the doorway. Both people turned to look at me, eyebrows knitted together.
"What are you wearing?" My sister spoke up first.
"Ask the TARDIS. All she would give me was Victorian dresses, so here we are." It was a beautiful dress, though, so I wasn't exactly complaining.
"But we're in 1979." The Doctor deadpanned.
"Well... I'm just going to presume that you got the flight wrong and your ship is helping me out."
He shook his head. "Nah. Anyway, 1979! Hell of a year!" My boyfriend took my hand, bounding to the doors. "China invades Vietnam. The Muppet movie! Love that film. Margaret Thatcher...urg..." The Time Lord then shrugged on his brown trench coat. "Skylab falls to Earth - with a little help from me. Nearly took off my thumb. I like my thumb. I need my thumb. I'm very attached..." The doctor faltered as he noticed what was in front of us. We were surrounded by Scottish soldiers on all sides, guns raised. "...my thumb. 1879. Same difference." Um, no.
"You will explain your presence. And the nakedness of this girl." The - obviously Scottish - Captain commanded as Rose and the Doctor put their hands up in defence. I looked at what my sister was wearing and sighed. Maybe not the best clothes for this time period.
