[Valentina's POV]
For some reason the alarm that was blaring to wake me annoyed me more than usual today. I was prepared to grab it and throw it out of my window.
Because I knew what this morning meant.
I groaned, tossing and turning in the bed, realising today is supposed to be my first day of school in this city. And I was already in a bad mood because of that. I usually never get a good feeling about school, but today felt even worse.
"I was under the impression the alarm was invented solely to wake lazy teenagers such as you from dream land", I heard Elijah's voice. "You're supposed to get up now."
I made a noise of protest, sinking my face further into the pillow.
Elijah walked further into my room and turned off the stupid alarm before ruffling my haystack looking hair. "Come on, wake up."
I didn't.
"You're upsetting the alarm, Val", Elijah sounded amused.
"Yeah well, it can suck it. My bed and I are made for each other and this vindictive jealous alarm is trying to separate us", I said, pushing my face further into the pillow.
"God you'll suffocate yourself!", Elijah used his extraordinary strength to roll me over.
"Elijaaaaaah! I don't wanna go to school. Can I sleep instead? I swear I'll tell everyone you're my favourite brother if you let me", I tried to bribe him, opening one eye.
"Tempting, but no", Elijah narrowed his eyes on me.
I whined.
"Get up. I'll only count till ten", Elijah crossed his arms.
"Why? You forgot the numbers after ten?", I chuckled, stretching my arms sleepily.
"Ha ha. Funny. Now get up, go brush your teeth", Elijah successfully pulled the covers off me, making me groan louder.
"God, you're worse than our brothers", Elijah muttered under his breath.
Being compared to those idiots didn't sit well with me. I immediately sat up on my bed, sparing him an unhappy glance. He smiled, pulling my cheek.
"Get showered and dressed, before coming down to breakfast. Oh wait... actually before breakfast go meet Ales, okay? He wants to talk to you about something. He'll be in his room", Elijah instructed me, as he folded my covers and arranged the bed.
"Okay", I nod, cringing while smelling my own breath accidentally.
Once Elijah was gone, I pulled myself out of bed and got to work. After I'm done with the usual morning routine, I dress into the outfit I picked for myself yesterday before going to sleep.
When I'm done, I grab my phone and bag running out of my room. I remembered to knock on Alessandro's door first before heading down even though I was hungry.
"Come in."
I open the door and walk in to find him in front of the mirror wearing his watch, basically ready to go to work. He watched me enter through his mirror and nodded.
"Good morning", I smiled.
"Good morning to you as well. I see you're ready for your first day of school?", Ales turned to face me.
I gave him a look.
He actually grinned, shaking his head, surprising me at the same time. "Take a seat", Ales gestured towards his bed.
