"Ash, I've been looking all over for you," Serena said running towards him with her arms open. Ash opened his arms and hugged her. "I went everywhere trying to find you. I can't believe you have been here this whole time"

"I was watching the lights, I'm sorry" Ash responded. He smiled at Serena. Her eyes shining more than the lights floating in the sky "But please now that you are here, stay with me."

"Of course. I love you so much" She told leaning her head on his shoulder

"I love you too" Ash replied. But suddenly everything went dark.

Ash woke up, sat in his bed and looked around... It had all been a dream. Serena wasn't there. She was still far away from him. He thought back about the last time they spoke, about her last letter and the fact that she never replied to his letter. Serena would never forget to reply... As his eyes tried to get used to the light spreading in his room, a sudden pain found her way to his heart. "Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs." Ash muttered to himself. Perhaps saying so many times that his fate seemed impossible to change could help him forget what his heart was flaming to tell him. 'The pain I feel has only one explanation. I haven't heard from her... My heart aches to read her sweet words in paper, to know she is still mine no matter how far she is from me'

The sky didn't seem to want to make Ash's heart happier as it rained and rained. Once again the storm arrived to Ash's life. But this time he had no idea what to do to fix what was broken, what was causing the new storm... As he got ready to face another day, a single tear streamed down is face. Right under his coats were Serena's letters. There were 25 letters, some with small drawings. Ash grabbed them and somehow still smelled Serena's sweet perfume filling them like when he opened them for the first time. Her delicate handwriting, her loving words. His heart ached even more for her. He looked at his window as the sky itself cried. Perhaps the sky too was heartbroken or missed someone that's why it let his tears fall onto the earth...

"I can't stay here forever, no matter what I feel I need to be strong and face another day without her. I just don't understand how I was able to do it before and now I can't... It seems to hard to live without her..." Ash whispered

"Maybe it's because before you knew no matter what, you would be able to see her at the end of the day..." A voice said making Ash face his bedroom room. Standing there was his mother. Her arms wide opened. Ash ran to her and finally let his tears fall of his eyes like the sky. "My dear be strong, have faith. This is a war we are facing... But we will win it. I promise you" Ash seemed to calm down by his mother's words but he still knew he had to face the day... He had to face Lillie, his father, the million things to do for a wedding he never wanted...

"I'm worried mother" Ash finally let out what his heart had been so long longing to whisper

"Why, my dear?" Delia showed concern in her eyes. There is never a good time to see your own son cry and be scared of something

"Serena hasn't replied to my last letter..."

"Oh dear, I'm sure everything is fine... I talked to Grace. She told me Serena's father has made her marry too... Grace didn't told me why but Serena wanted for the wedding to be in the same day as yours..."

"Why didn't she told me any of this?"

"Maybe cause it hurts dear... That girl looks at you like your her sun, her whole life. She would risk herself a thousand times if it was needed to protect you... I always denied it but you and her were made for each other. The way you described her to me, her actions I'm more than sure that that girl would die for you. If she is doing this, she has a reason"

His mother's speech made his mind and heart slow and hurt less... He opened the door to his room ready to face another day...

"Well, did you copy as much as you could my son's handwriting?" The king asked to one of his servers

"Yes, your magesty. The letter was send and this morning it arrived information that the princess has already got it."

"So everything is going the way I planed" The king said. He turn his head to Lillie, the silly girl who helped him with his dirty work "This is how kings and queens rule. We shall control everything around us to ensure our safety and that our power will never be taken from us"

"Your magesty, will princess Serena be safe?" Lillie asked. After knowing the kings intentions and what the letter involved, she felt scared for the princesses life

"See by yourself" The kind said showing to Lillie a letter. She carefully opened it. It was from the King of the northern kingdom. She believed her eyes were faking what she was reading. There was no way with a simple letter a girl like Serena who was always ready to fight would back down so easily from her true love. And then a sentence pierced her like a knife. 'She lost her smile... Although as her father I souldn't be happy of this. She utterly gave up. I guess she wants your son to be happy no matter how much it hurts her...' Lillie was never an emotional person but somehow she felt Serena's pain. It was the same as when she saw Ash kiss Serena on the masquerade ball.

"These violent delights have violent ends, right?" The kind stated. "Her wedding with the prince of Kanto will be on the same day as yours with my son. Now more than ever, there is no holding back. He is yours. Run to him, make him yours as there will be no one that from now on can take him away from you"

Lillie left the throne room and ran in a hurry. She looked for Ash everwhere. Still caring the letter without realizing it. She found him in the middle of the flowers in the garden. The beautiful daisies dancing with the wind as finally the rain had come to an end. Perhaps Ash's tears had finally come to an end as well.

"Ash!" Lillie screamed making the prince turn his head towards her. She ran to him. Opened her arms and hug him and whispered "I'm sorry" Ash's mind was completely confused to everything happened but as his red eyes burned so his heart cried and he simply held Lillie in the moment. He turned to her and asked "Why are you sorry?"

"You don't know?" Lillie saw Ash's confused face "Serena is getting married"

"Oh that I know..."

"Then why are you crying..."

"Cause I lost her and I know it. I'm trying to acknowledge this..."

"I'm here for you always"

"Thank you Lillie"
