We were all in our own dorms, preparing for whatever we had to do tonight. George was sat on his bed practicing some defensive spells and Fred and I were pacing back and forth, an almost tangible tension was lingering in the air everytime we walked past each other.

Once George was satisfied that he knew all his spells, he went to go and grab an evening snack with Lee, leaving Fred and I completely alone in the room in silence.

"I don't want you to do this." Fred blurted out suddenly.

"What? I have to Fred. We can't let Voldemort get that stone."

"I don't care we will deal with that later. It's too dangerous I don't want you getting hurt." He said softly, his hand reaching out and resting on my shoulder as he looked into my eyes.

"Freddie, I'll be ok. I'm not that bad at protecting myself." I let out a small chuckle, "Besides-"

I was cut off by Fred's lips pressing against my forehead before he wrapped me into a tight embrace. My arms snaked around his torso as I hugged him back, clearly he was worried but I wasn't changing my mind.

We were interrupted when Lee and George walked back into the room, arms full of all sorts of desserts that they had gotten from the house elves in the kitchen. Fred began to pull away from the hug but whispered something in my ear as he did.

"Please just stay safe, if anything happens to-" his voice broke slightly, causing him to stop and fully back away.

I just rubbed his arm reassuringly and nodded lightly, before going and hanging out with the boys. All that was left now was to wait.

Soon after Lee was finally asleep, we all met at the top of the stairs to the common room, Fred, George, Harry, Hermione, Ron and I. We had agreed that the twins would keep watch in case Filch or someone tried to come into the room that Fluffy guarded. Oliver was in our dorm room in case Lee woke up, ready to explain everything so he didn't alert the teachers.

All of us pranced down the stairs quietly and made it to the common room, when we noticed Trevor perched on the arm of the chair.

"Trevor," Harry said quietly and began looking around in case Neville was nearby.

"Trevor! Shh! Go! You shouldn't be here!" Ron whisper-shouted.

"Neither should you!" Out of nowhere, Neville popped his head round the chair, "You're sneaking out again aren't you?"

"No Neville, listen. We wer-" Harry was cut off.

"No! I won't let you! You'll get Gryffindor into trouble again. I-I-I'll fight you." He raised his fights in front of his face in a weak attempt to intimidate us.

"Neville I'm really really sorry about this." I said before nodding at Hermione.

"Petrificus Totalus." She said before watching Neville basically freeze and fall to the ground.

Ron gulped largely, "You're both a little scary sometimes, d'you know that? Brilliant. But scary." Ron said, slightly backing away from us, causing the twins to high-five us.

We all walked past Neville's body lying on the ground muttering sorry and the leaving the common room, hopefully we would be able to return.

It was another tight squeeze, but we all managed to fit underneath the invisibility cloak and were making our way down the dark halls of the castle. I always love how beautiful the castle looked at night. Some people said it was creepy and eerie but personally, I thought it was gorgeous.
