The morning had arrived rather slowly after that, and I had spent about half the night tossing and turning due to the excitement of today. That and George's excessive snoring. I looked over to my alarm clock, eager to get my timetable and start the year off. 6:30AM it read.

My hands found their way to the lamp on my bedside table and flicked it on causing me to wince at the sudden brightness. I grabbed my trunk and began to get my uniform out in a neat, folded pile, and I also grabbed my toiletry bag, then headed to the bathroom.

Because it was so early, I stayed in the shower a little longer than usual. That was until I heard someone get up, and walk towards the bathroom. Shit I forgot to lock the door. Whoever it was must have either noticed I wasn't in bed or heard the shower because they had stopped walking.

Once I had turned the shower off and packed away my things, I wrapped myself in my towel and walked over to the door. My head popped around the corner to see Fred leaning against the wall playing with his thumbs.

"Sorry Freddie, I'll just be five minutes, I just need to get dressed."

"Yeah," he yawned "No problem."

This time, I remembered to lock the door and quickly got into my uniform. I checked myself out in the mirror to make sure there were no creases. Once I was satisfied with my appearance, I emerged from the bathroom, only to find that Fred had fallen back asleep on the foot of my bed.

As I headed over to my mirror to brush my hair, I tripped over the corner of my trunk and fell face first onto the floor. The sound must've been loud, because all three boys were now awake and laughing at me hysterically. Dusting myself off, I stuck my middle finger up at them all which caused them to laugh even harder.

Sighing, I began to comb through my long, auburn hair and then I tied it into two french braids, before finishing off with two little owl barrettes at the end. Fred, George, Angie, Lee and I did secret Santa last year and Lee got me these barrette's to remind me of Thrasher, my owl who unfortunately died of old age the year before. It was a really thoughtful gift, and so I made sure to wear them every time I did my hair in braids.

We had all gathered in the Great Hall and received our timetables and were then dismissed to sort our belongings out for the first lesson of the day. The boys, Angie and I had gotten done quite fast as we still had about 10 minutes before our next lesson. George pulled out his timetable and began to read it.

"Ughhhhhh. Potions first. With Snape."

"Same," Fred, Lee and Angie said.

"He really isn't that bad guys, if you just payed attention and did as you were told, you wouldn't piss him off as much. Maybe then you would enjoy the lessons instead of moaning all the time," I replied, snarkily.

"Easy for you to say, you actually understand what the nut case teaches," Lee whined.

"Maybe if you guys did the homework for once, you would understand it," Fred chimed in.

Fred put his arm around my shoulder to signal that he was on my side. Just as George was about to make a witty comeback, the clock bell chimed signalling that it was time to go to class. We all put our timetables away and began running down to the dungeons, even if Snape wasn't that mean to me, I still didn't want to be late on my first day back. As for the others, well, they were just terrified he would shout.
