My trainers hit the ground as I stepped out the taxi. The taxi man had already got my suit cases out the car and had them ready for me.
"Thank you" I said to him. He smiled at me then hopped back into the car and drove off. I picked up my two suit cases, they were rather heavy but I've done many trips like this before and I've gotten used to the weight they have in the suit cases. I opened the doors and the hotel was very elegant. I saw they were already preparing the runway for the models and it made me excited.
"A little more to the left!" A man shouted, in a very posh accent. I looked up to see a man with slick back hair, a fancy suit on and a small moustache shout above the balcony.
"Very good, gentlemen!" He said. We suddenly locked eyes and it startled me, it was like he stared into my soul. I put my suit cases down when I heard my phone go off. I ruffled my dirty blonde hair and I answered the phone."Hiya"
"Oh Grace please tell me what it's like, me and Taylor have just seen the photos of the inside of the hotel and goddamn it looks posh"
"It is, very red for my liking"
"If it does get too creepy though... we don't mind you leaving"
"This will probably be the most fun trip I'm going
To ever experience, I wouldn't give up this big opportunity""Suit yourself. Send me photos of your outfit tonight, you always amaze us girls"
"Course"
We both laughed down the line and we both said our goodbyes. I looked down my phone and I ended the call. I looked up to see the man that was located on the balcony, directing the men, was now in front of me. He took me by slight surprise and I stepped back.
"I didn't mean to startle you darling! James Patrick March, at your service. I couldn't help but notice you when I was just up there, at the bar" his accent was like he was from the 1900's and he pronounced words very weirdly. I was British myself so I had an accent but ours didn't match exactly.
"I'm Grace and yeah, I saw you" I held my hand out to shake but instead, he kissed my hand twice while looking at me. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"May I help you with your bags?" He offered.
"Oh, no it's okay. I've done this before. I travel a lot for my work" I exclaimed while ruffling my dirty blonde hair up again and I hauled the two suit cases.
"Well what do you do for work?" He asked me, while he walked with me. I didn't notice he had a cane before but I heard it click the floor as he walked. I don't think he needed it, I think it was for show.
"I work with my two friends. Taylor and Breanna.I hire the models for our magazine and they do everything else" I exclaimed as we walked to the front desk. I rang the ball since nobody occupied the desk.
"Oh let me" he said as he hurried behind the desk.
"Should you be there?" I smiled as he flipped through the pages of the check-in book. It reminded me of role playing as a child, he seemed rather excited as he flipped through the pages. A woman appeared from behind James, through the staff room door.
"Good morning Mr. March" she said as she picked up a room key.
"Good morning, Iris. What a splendid day it is today!" He said with pure joy and excitement. I smiled at his enthusiasm.
"Are you going to the runway" the woman asked, who we now know as Iris.
"Of course I am, dear. May I have room key 32?" He asked. She picked up a key and dropped it in his hands.
"Thanks Ever so much" he walked out the desk and headed towards me and he dangled the keys in front of me. I went to grab them but he put them in his pockets. I chuckled at his banter.
"Now you have no choice but to let me be a gentleman and let me help you carry your bags" he smirked. I sighed in defeat and I tucked my dirty blonde hair behind my ear as I glanced down at the suit case.
"You win" I smiled. He chuckled like a little school boy and he picked up the closest suit case. I carried the other and he guided me to room 32.
"When shall I see you at the runway?" He asked me as we walked down the corridor.
"Whenever really, maybe early so I can get a good seat" I said I tried to look for any emergency exits in the hallways, but there was not one. Not even a sign.
"I see... around six then, my dear?" He asked.
"Sure" I said, looking back at him.
"Marvellous. I hope to see you at the bar at six" he said as he unlocked room 32 with the keys he teased me with.
"Oh I didn't know we were discussing a time to meet" I chuckled nervously.
"Perfectly well, my dear. I shall see you soon" he walked in and put the suit case on my bed and he escorted himself out.
"Thank you" I shouted out to him. He looked back at smiled at me, then closed the door. I checked the time and it was 3 o'clock. I opened the suit case and I prepped out my outfit. I quickly showered, then I blow dried and did my hair, I just simply did some wavy curls and I added some hoops and I dressed for the event.
