I woke up feeling disoriented. Where am I? Remembering I was in the nurse's office, I look around for Mr. Jeon. He isn't here... He left? I see a note on the table next to me, and I grab it. Of course he had to go back to class. I sit and think about everything. I wonder who Mr. Jeon called after I told him about the meeting at my home this afternoon... Does he know something about it?

I stand up and head out of the nursing room, to meet an empty hallway. I check my phone and see it's almost lunchtime, so I head to my locker to waste the last few minutes. When the bell rings, the stampede of students makes me anxious. They're loud, and running towards the cafe. I feel my stomach grumble, and I head the same direction.

I've actually never attended lunch before because of the amount of students that dislike me. But I'm hungry, and my headache is getting worse, so I decide to grab something I can just take on the go. As I approach the line for food, someone shoves me from the back, causing me to fall into the boy in front of me.

Looking up to meet a curious face, I quickly apologize. He smiles at me and just tells me not to worry about it. "My name is Min-jun. Are you new here?" I have never had a student speak to me in a friendly way, so I don't know quite how to respond... "Are you ok?"

I'm blushing now because I feel stupid for not talking. "S-sorry... I am Sophia. I-I'm not new. I just don't attend lunch often." He nods, smiling with a cute dimple showing. "I see... The food isn't bad though. Would you want to sit with me?" I look around the room seeing all the faces of the people who bully me. They're all very focused on me, and I get nervous. "I don't think I can... I missed class this morning so I should head to my teacher to get the work I missed."

"Which teacher?" I feel the stares burning into me and hear whispers calling me freak, and I wonder how Min-jun doesn't notice. "Ah... Sorry. Mr. Jeon is the teacher." He just smiles at me and continues to talk. "He's a great teacher. I have him in the afternoon. Why don't we eat and I'll walk with you after?" Why is this boy being nice to me? "O-Ok... I guess."

I take a serving of japchae and a bottle of water and follow Min-jun to a table. I actually don't feel like eating anymore, but I force myself to take small bites. "I feel like I haven't seen you before. Are you sure you're not new? You're hard to miss." I look at Min-jun with questioning eyes. "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean your hair... What did you think I meant?" I'm really dumb... I shake my head and just look away only to see Seo-yeon pointing at me. "uh... I guess I'm newer, this is my first year here. I joined late too." I keep my guard up because Seo-yeon is standing now. "Did you just move here? Are you from Korea?"

As I'm about to answer the curious boy, I feel something wet run down hair and my back. "Making new friends freak? Why aren't you chasing after my fiancée, Mr. Jeon? Finally give up?" The pain in my heart is real. He says he's not marrying anyone, so why does she think he is going to marry her? I don't respond to her and she grabs my hair.

"Get a good look at your new friend Min-jun. You shouldn't hang out with a loser like her." She had dragged my hair away from my face, displaying my scar to Min-jun. I close my eyes to not see his disgusted face. "Seo-yeon... You're an ugly person. Who cares that she has a scar? Leave us." I open my eyes to see him standing up, and getting in her face. Gasps are heard when he defends me.

"How dare you talk to me that way So Min-jun?" He just chuckled at her. "I dare because you are not that special Lee Seo-yeon. You're clearly jealous that even though she has a scar, she's more beautiful than you are. Leave us alone now. And stop telling people Mr. Jeon is your fiancée. We all know he'd never marry a bitch like you."

I'm stunned when Seo-yeon lets my hair go. "You're going to regret this Min-jun." She storms away to the sound of his laughter. He just smiles at me. "Finish your food before it gets cold Sophia." Sitting back down, he just eats and doesn't say anything else. I'm grateful beyond words, and I eat some more of my lunch. "I'll have to go change now. Why does she always attack my clothes?" This made Min-jun smile, and I can't help but giggle.
