Chapter 3

"Looking for someone?" panong andito siya agad sa harap ko, saan siya galing? Nanlaki at puno ng pagkagulat ang aking mga mata, I stiffed dew to his sudden appearance. "Hahahaha I-I w-was l-looking for a b-book," I excuse and avoid his blank gaze.

He remains silent and just stared at me, so I felt uneasy and took a step backward. What should I do next? Did he catch me watching him? Should I act normal? What to do???

"Ahhh...yeah, I just want to say thank you for the cho----," I stop when he just walks past me like I was not starting to have a conversation with him. Naiwan akong nakatulala dito sa silid, hindi niya man lang ako pinatapos magsalita. When I look back his already gone, "Bastos," I whisper with frowned brows.

So the whole day I continue spying on him and watching his expression. Dad said he lost his family so I want to see him sad. I know it's weird, to want someone to feel sad, but I just feel that he needs it so he can let go of his family.

I feel sad for him; I know it pains him a lot, knowing that he is the only one alive and all his family are dead already. I know that Kace guys are just keeping it inside and didn't want to show any weakness at this moment.

"I want to be friends with him," I whisper while watching him eat dinner with us. He didn't talk the whole meal so I just stared at him the whole time. After eating I followed him sneakily through the garden and watch him play with a necklace while staring at the night sky.

I don't know but I suddenly felt so interested in him I want to be friends with him, I want to comfort him because he lose his family, I know he's sad right now but he doesn't want anyone to know how he feels. I just watch him for an hour and he didn't do anything but play with the necklace and watch the dark sky and bright moon.

"Ouch," I whisper and hissed when insects started to bite my legs, I didn't make any noises but still, I started to get red marks on my thighs and legs.

"Oh no," I whisper. Patuloy akong busy sa pagaasikaso ng mga kagat sa hita ko ng---

"You better go inside," Kace said in front of me before he enters the house with a blank expression. "Oo nga, mayayari ako into," I answered and still busy scratching my legs but-----, my eyes widened when I realize who I talk too, agad akong sumilip sa iuupuan niya at wala na siya doon. Siya nga ang nakausap ko pumasok na siya! Alam niyang andito ako!!!

I just did a facepalm because of my careless actions,  I surely know that he notice me following him the whole day. Pagpasok ko sa loob ng bahay agad ko siyang hinanap at kakamadali ko sa paghahanap sakanya ay may nakabanggaan ako.

"Ay sorr-----," I was cut out when I saw Mommy standing in front of me and her eyes were locked on my legs. Oh, shoot! I'm dead! "What the fuck is that Chantel Paige Delavine?!" I almost cover my ears because of Mommy's loud voice. Her eyes were burning with anger already and I know she was mad right now.

"A-hmmm," I don't know what to say. "Didn't I tell you to be careful with your body? how are you supposed to attend the photoshoot with that kind of legs, Chantel?!!!" I don't know what to answer so I just shook my head as an act of apologizing.

"Because of that, I need to re-schedule that fucking photoshoot again! you are so careless, that so stupid Chantel!!!"  she shouted and pushes me lightly so she can walk passes through me.

I was holding looking at the floor when she walks through, "and, another one Chantel, you are grounded until tomorrow evening, don't you ever go outside of your room, do you understand?" pahabol ni Mommy bago pumasok ng kwarto.

I was left alone here in the hallway and when I raise my head up I saw Kuya and Kace standing on the edge of the hallway, because of embarrassment I urged a small smile at them before I run to my room. My heart is aching but I choose to smile and just read books, Mommy was just worried about my modeling carrier that's why she reacted like that.

Kinabukasan nagising ako sa sinag ng araw mula saking bintana at gaya nga ng sinabi ni Mommy hindi ako lumabas ng aking kwarto at hindi dinalhan ng breakfast, sa tingin ko pinagbawalan sila Yaya na dalhan ako ng pagkain.

I just seat on the terrace and watch the beauty of the morning, "It seems like I'm on a diet again haha," I joked to myself and laugh.

Then I was right the whole day they didn't give me the right food only water and vegetable, which I hated to eat at this moment because I feel like a goat while eating them. So, I choose to play inside my room, read books and take a long shower inside the bathroom.

Pinalabas lang ako nila Yaya, when they have already finished the dinner, and everyone is in their room. I ate dinner on my own. After eating ako narin ang nagligpit ng pinagkainan ko dahil pinapasok na nila Mommy sila Yaya sa kwarto nila.

After washing the dishes I grab some milk from the ref. and when upstairs with a glass of milk in my hands. Pagdating ko sa tapat ng kwarto ko I saw a one piece of chocolate bar on the floor in front of my door.

I quickly look around before hurriedly getting it and going inside the room, "Is this from my brother?" I ask, and a wide smile suddenly flashes to my face, run to my bed and drink my milk with this yummy chocolate bar.

"Thank you, Kuya," I whisper.

I sleep well that night and woke up, do my morning routine, and meet Daddy downstairs. He's reading his files from work I guess.

"Daddy!!!" I said and give him a peck of a kiss on his cheeks. "Hello princess," He greeted and smile at me, I seated on his side and smiled at him either.

Kasabay non' ay ang pagbaba ni Kuya kasama si Kace, I haven't seen him for a day yesterday so I feel happy that he looks fine right now, also his talking with Kuya like a carefree guy and his enjoying the conversation, I wonder what are they talking about I wanna join tho.

We all seat in the dining area, Mommy wasn't here because she had a meeting dad said, so we ate just the four of us and they all talk about business and I stayed silent and observed Kace the whole time. But, this time I make it lowkey so he won't notice me.

"By the way Chantel, I have good news!" Daddy suddenly opens a conversation with me, so I quickly look at him.

I look at him with a question mark on my face and my mouth filled with pancakes. He chuckled before he speaks again.

"You're going to the same University with your brother and Kace since you turned in High school now," I thought I'll continue my high school at my old school.

"But Daddy, I don't know that school, I don't have friends there," I said. "No worries, Kase and Cadmus are there."

"Their fourth year already Daddy how can they supposed to be my friend there, if we're not on the same level?" puno ng pagaalangan kong sambit.

"No worry your brother might be busy with school but Kace will be there he'll stay with you all the time right Kace?" Nakangiting sambit ni Dad, Kace glanced at Daddy and casually nodded before he glance at me and give me those blank expressions again.

"I'll stay with you," he said.
