[ Alpha Andrews POV ]
Everything irritated me as I lay in my bed. The birds, the sky, the giggles of unmated females vying for my attention downstairs. Each day in this pack house unmarked women would " visit " hoping to one day making me choose one of them. They never seemed to comprehend that I wouldn't some day magically want them, despite the amount of skin they showed me.
All in their oblivious happiness. My wolf, was restless. Four years of not having a mate, not having the other half to our twisted puzzle had made us both unconsolably bloodthirsty. Years of fighting, on only aggression and need for release of this tension in my body and soul fueled my rage. I tried my best not to take it out on my pack though. Ruts came and gone from the years and I'd try to quench it with meaningless flings to get me through not having my own mate. Sometimes I'd pick a random girl from the lot of them and get rid of them.
Not having any sign of finding my mate anytime soon made other people talk among those in my pack and outside it.
I was advised countless times to just marry a formally mated widow, if I wanted an experienced Luna, or an unmated female, but that wouldn't be the same. I would mark her and be happy, but what would happen to the one the goddess made for me, if she finds me, and I am already with another?
' NEVER! ' a monstrous growl, my wolf, almost taking over, I need to get out of this room. I need fresh air. I'd always use training and fighting as my way through all the struggles in my life, but in the end I was the one still alone and powerless to do anything about it.
All of this has been nearly public gossip everywhere that's why I can't give up now that I've found her.
[ Autumn POV ]
The room seemed fairly big. A large mahogany desk sat in the center of the room with a couple book shelves behind it. Each shelf filled up to capacity and a small square window to the left and right of them. There were no chairs except for a large chair behind the desk. The walls were lined with white and gold colored walls with trimmings along the lining of the walls.
" Shift. " the command pulled me out of my trance as I settled on a man in walking to the desk. He must have shifted or something and entered the room while I was occupied studying his room. My eyes drew to the man in front of me. Except this man was not what I had expected. He had sat leaning casually against his desk.
He was wearing only some boxers leaving the rest of his toned skin uncovered. His body was toned to near perfection, with large biceps that lead into a chiselled chest, sitting underneath his firm pectorals sat a very solid set of abs. All before slimming into his waist, his prominent v-line on show. I noticed he had little scares over parts of his body and one that I recognized was on his left shoulder that was more pronounced. This was the wolf from earlier, and not only that this was Alpha Andrews! I hadn't recognized him in his wolf form but even until now I still hadn't recognized him. Seeing his body without the clothes he had on the last time we met made a world of difference.
I hadn't realized till now, but he gave off this gangster vibe that only furthered his domineering presence in the room.
Once I got to his face I felt as I looked the more I recognized this man. He had long messy blonde hair that could practically reach his broad shoulders. His jawline was sharp but had a softness to his face. Icy arctic blue eyes peering at me over his sharp straight nose leading down to these plump lips that uttered another word again.
" Shift. There are some clothes over to your right if you want to change. " I was pulled from my blatant ogling, with these words. He raised his eyebrows at me, expecting me to follow his command and let my fur become skin. But was he serious?
