Alec and I decided we want to know the gender so we are finally finding out. Yes we could have done that sooner but I wanted it to be a surprise but not I don't because I can't prepare things like toys and clothes for them because I don't know the gender and I like to be prepared.

We are both sitting in the medical part of the institute waiting for the doctor.

I heard them call my name and I grabbed Alecs hand and took him into the room.

"Just lie down on the bed and lift your shirt a little for me" the doctor said.

Alec stood next to the bed and we watched as the doctor put the cold gel on my stomach.

He swiped the little scanner over my stomach and we watched the screen.
He pointed to the baby on the screen.

"That's your baby there" he pointed before turning to us.

"Do you want to find out the gender today?"

I looked at Alec and he nodded.
"Yep" I said to the doctor he nodded and looked back at the screen.

"Looks like a girl congrats"

I beamed up at Alec and he smiled back at me.

I cleaned the gel off of my stomach whilst Alec asked for a ultrasound photo which the doctor went to get.
