THIS STORY IS A SIMPLE, SHORT, FLUFF!
---------
The log cabin was so warm and cozy.
The livingroom was dark, lit only by a beautiful green Christmas tree, the raging fireplace, and coloured lights hung around the room.
A soft grey wrap-around couch kept my bum warm, and a warm, unmoving body layed on my lap.
My boyfriend.
Jimin.
The TV played the local news station, the image going in and out as the snow storm outside continued on as it had been for hours. On the TV, a tall middle eastern woman dressed tightly in winter clothing talked loudly into the screen as she held an umbrella to rid the snow.
"It looks like this storm is not going to surpass until tomorrow afternoon. Just when you thought quarantine couldn't get any worse!"
Personally, I was okay with that.
The introverted life is truly a blessing.
Watermelon, our parenting cat, as we called it, purred in a fat ball beside me.
"Baaaaaabe." Groaned the man-child laying in my lap, using my thigh as a squishy pillow.
"Yes?" I giggled.
"I need to poop." He whined.
"Then go!" I laughed, recieving a glare from Watermelon before he dozed off again.
Sorry dude.
"Finnne."
Slowly but surely, Jimin got up off of my lap, squeezing my upper leg gently in his hand before walking lazily to the bathroom.
Shortly after, I was interupted from petting the cat by a ding on my phone.
Ding.
I looked at the notification bar.
1 new message.
I opened my messages to see who had texted me.
Chimmy 💖💍
Babbbe, we're out of toilet paper 😞
And?
Pwease😳❤❤
Fine 😒
After grabbing a few rolls from the storage closet, I walked to the bathroom down the hall, opening the door to my boyfriend sitting on the toilet.
"Thank youu!" He cheered, smiling from ear to ear.
"Dude, you stink. And remember to get it before you sit down next time! This is the third time in two weeks."
He eyed me like a hawk.
"I'm gonna get you for calling me 'Dude'".
"Why? You're just one of the bros." I teased.
"Oh, you just wait-"
I shut the door and ran before he got the chance to finish speaking.
By the time that I got back to the couch, I was out of breath, heaving slightly as I flopped back down onto the couch.
Jimin came back, a mischevious look in his eyes.
"Babe?" I asked, staring at the ceiling as I did so.
"Yeah?" He relied, sitting by my head.
"Am I too fat?" I asked.
The question was entirely random, but on stay-in days like these, I couldn't help but to ponder.
He paused for a second, a look of confusion crossing his face.
"Baby, what's wrong with being fat? You're beautiful, plumpy or not." He said, puckering his lower lip in a sucky sort of way. He kissed my forehead, then my nose. "You okay?"
"Yeah." I sighed.
That was the best response I've heard yet.
I was so sick of the answers my exes had given me in the past. All tall scrawny guys - not that that was an issue, but that was what they looked like - telling me in the past "No babe, you're beautiful."
Is being fat not beautiful?
I personally was okay with my body. After being so sensitive to my size before, dating Jimin for the past few years has definitely helped to make me feel like my body was beautiful in all its curves.
"Wanna watch a movie?" He whispered softly.
"Can we watch 'The Nightmare Before Christmas?'" I asked.
"Uhm, of course!"
I giggled at his response.
-
The movie had been as amazing as it always had been.
Although...
Jimin had fallen asleep.
Again.
Too tired to get up, I fell asleep with Watermelon and Jimin on the couch, drifting off into a blissful, cozy stupor.
