Chapter 6

Jeon Wonwo

"So here we are with the countries number 1 excelled doctor." The reported said. "Nahh, don't call me that." I replied humbly. "Ahmm, why? It's actually true. Your one of the greatest doctor now." She said, "I'm not actually the greatest doctor." I replied again "Why?"
"I'm indeed a useless doctor." Shocked can be seen in everyone's face infront of me right now "I saved others lives, but I haven't saved my best friend that supposed to be my fiancée." I said and smiled, everyone went silent seams like afraid to utter a single word. "W-would you mind telling us?" The reporter bravely asked I looked at her with my intimidating aura "A-ahmm, it's ok if you don't wa--"

"This story is supposed to be mine only, but since you asked for it. Then I'll tell this story of mine." I cut her off with a smile. I took a deep breath and remembered what had happened 2 years ago. I smiled bitterly because it felt like it just happened yesterday.

"2 years ago, we were on our last year of taking Medical as our course. It's our last month as a interns, everything's ok back then. We graduated and got our degree and finally I confessed to her." I said and smiled remembering how she smiled sweetly at me that time.

"Are you even Jeon Wonwo my friend? Hahaha" she asked rediculously I made face to her "Yah! Why can't you be serious? I'm putting my whole life and dignity just to tell you those words! Aishh, jinjja." She just laughed at me "Why do you keep laughing? It's not like I told you something funny, ahh your being rediculous Y/N" I said and looked down to see those passing by cars. We're here at the highest point of the hospital, we can't go home now because tomorrow's our graduation. "Yah! Why am I rediculous?!?" She said and smacked my back. Aishh this girl. I looked at her with my poker face and in an instance she cleared her throat and looked down also to see the cars. "I'm serious Y/N. I really ment those words." I told her she looked at me "What words?" She playfully questioned. Aishh this girl's really getting into my nerves.

"The words I told you 10 minutes ago." I told her "Hmm, that I'm rediculous?" She asked still in a playful manner. "Don't make me repeat my words" "Why not? Where's the fun in there if you won't repeat your words" she playfully smiled. I know I can't win over this girl so I took a deep breath and looked at her hazel brown eyes. We stared at each other for a couple of minutes before I held her hand "Y/N Kim, my dear friend. 3 years ago since we met and became friends. 2 years ago since I fell in love with you. I'm sorry, I should'nt but I just can't help. I love you Y/N more than a love of a friend. I dearly love you." I said sincerely she smiled at me and sooner she hugged me and I hugged her back. "I felt the same way Wonwo, I'm just scared to tell you because I don't want to ruin our friendship." I smiled wider and hugged her tighter.

"I'm glad Y/N, I really am." I said I heard her laugh "Today's our first day then." She said and looked at me my eyes sparkled at her words it means she already accepted me.

"I can see in your eyes you really love her Mr. Jeon." The reporter said disturbing my reminisce. "I really do" I said "The day after we went out with our parents and told them that we're together. They we're happy about our news and they said that they've been waiting for us to tell them." I slightly laughed. "Ohh, so on both sides are ok." She again interrupted, I looked at her and still smiled remembering how supportive our parents in our relationship. "So what happened with her?"

"Everything's just fine we both got promoted and became the head doctors of the hospital we're both working at. That was our dream, to be a good doctor who helped anyone who's in need." I said and remembered the day how happy she was when we got promoted.

"I can't believe it Wonwo! I'm so happy!" She said almost shouting we are now here at our apartment. "I'm happy for the both of us! Finally our hard work paid off." I said and held her in a tight embrace. "Thank you for always cheering me up." She said and looked at me I smiled at her "You don't have to say thank you, it's my duty as your boyfriend" I said and kissed her forehead she closed her eyes. A moment of silence ate us but it's not irritating at all, it felt so comfortable. "But... Since we got promoted... It means, we're have a very hectic schedule from now on." She said and looked at me. "Does this means, we won't see each other often?" She asked her eyes saddened. "Of course we will find ways, don't be sad. I'll go to when we're not doing anything, or I'll bring you food." I said and she smiled happily.

"As she said we really had a hectic schedule for a month but there's no day I won't visit her quarters to bring her food or sometimes just hug her. Another hectic month and she was transferred to the ER quarters, ER is scary." I said "Why is that so?" The reporter asked "Because in ER there's no time to take even a single rest. She did great working there it was her third month on working there when a drunken man went there holding a gun and ready to shoot anyone who tries to stop him. The police said he's mad because the doctors haven't saved his wife and their daughter who got hitted. Everyone's trying to calm him down but he won't and started shooting everyone in there. We heard it from the ward and all of our guards and other doctors and nurses went there."

"Everything's in chaos and I can't saw her so I roamed around just to see her but I can't. When I returned at the entrance of ER I saw her there helping the other doctors to save the patients who got shot by the drunken man. So I also helped them, I hour had passed and all the patients are mended and I finally went on her side."

"Hey are you ok? You look pale" I said she looked at me, her pinkish lips are now turning pale pink even her cream skin turned pale. "Y-yeah" she said weakly "Are you sure?" I asked again she just nodded "You must have been terrified." I told her I held her arms and hugged her, she was holding the right side of her stomach and I can smell blood. "Hey? What's up?? Why are you--" I cut off my own words when I myself forced her to take her hands off there and I saw she's bleeding badly. "Y/N! YOUR BLEEDING!!" I said hysterically "Why didn't you tell me?!? You got shot!!" I added still hysterical. "Shh, I'm ok Wonwo don't worry too much." She said then smiled "Let's go, I'll mend you." I told her I was holding her hands and started to drag her with me but she won't go. "Please Y/N! I need to mend you! You need to be cured!" I again said in my hysterical voice. She went near me and cupped my cheeks and tears suddenly fell "Shh, I'm fine Wonwo. I really am, you don't have to worry." She said still cupping my cheeks. "Let me do the operation Y/N please." I said still crying.

"Shh Wonwo, there's a lot of people who needs our help here. We need to prioritize them." She said I looked at her "Damn Y/N!! Your already bleeding yet your still thinking of others!! Can't be also selfish this time?!?" I said angrily at her she just smiled "Wonwo, I know myself I can't get it through the operation. I lost too much blood." She said weakly "But we can fix that, I can donate as much blood as I can just to save you." I said sadly she shock her head lightly. "Y/N please I'm begging you!!" I plead her and cried. "Shh, stop crying now. Ok ok, I'll come with you. Remove this bullet in me." She said weakly I immediately carried her to the operating room. "Wonwo.." she called out before we start the operation. "No matter what happens, continue your life. Continue our dreams never give up ok?" She said and held my hands "I love you, your the only man I love and I will love." She said and smiled lightly. I held her hands tighter "Shh, don't say nonsense I'm here. I know you can make it. I love you too Y/N, your the only girl I fell in love with." I said and kissed her forehead.

"I did the operation for almost an hour... But she... Y/N didn't make it, she lost a lot of blood. It was too late before we did the operation. And that time I felt so stupid I am a doctor, saved others I saved a lot of people that day. But the girl I love... I haven't saved her. Also that day, I was planning to propose to her and I did."

"Y/N... Why do you have to leave me this early?" I asked her cold body. I took the box inside my pocket and looked at the ring "Today, I was planning to propose to you while your at duty... But everything went wrong..." A tear escaped my eyes. "Y-Y/N... W-w-will you m-marry me?" I asked her and burst out crying. "I'll fullfil our dreams... I'm going to a great doctor. I love you Y/N, in this life time to the other life times your the only one I love and I'll love. I'll see you in our next life Y/N. I love you, I love you so much." I said and kissed her cold forehead.

"Ahh, so that's why until now you still doesn't have a wife." The reporter again said I nod. "Will you take one?" She added I laughed bitterly. "No... I promised to love her in this life time and until our next life spans." I said and smiled "Thank you for letting us know your story Mr. Jeon. And I hope you'll find her in your other life times." She said and ended the interview.
