*Rewrites in Progress*
"Do not test me on my birthday, Jacob," I said, keeping my eyebrow raised as if to dare him to continue. He huffed, muttering something about birthday's being a curse, and I leant down to help the other guy up, finally catchin...

Third Person's POV
The sun was shining as the summer holidays rolled in. Anastasia was grinning from ear to ear as she and Evelyn were picked up by Thomas, her 7-year-old body full to the brim with energy.
Grayson and Jacob were also in the car, with Grayson excited for his 12th birthday which happened to land on December 20, only a few days away.
"Papà! Guess what I did today!" Anastasia's high pitched voice said loudly, and Thomas winced slightly, smiling at his daughter.
"And what did you do Ana?" he asked with a grin on his face. She proceeded to rummage through her backpack, the keyring and fluffy accessories adorning it chiming as she finally pulled at a magazine Christmas tree.
"Wow Ana, how gorgeous is that!" said Grayson, tickling his younger sister. She giggled, which in turn made everyone else laugh as her giggles were infectious. She handed it to her father, who looked over it as he stopped at a red light.
"Where shall it go, principessa?" Thomas asked as he handed it back. Anastasia stuck her tongue in thought, with her face scrunched up, until it lit up with a thought.
"I'll give it to nonno and nonna, they don't have a tree this year," she said, pouting slightly at the fact her grandparents had no tree up. The reasoning for this was because Valerie, Thomas' mother, had just been diagnosed with breast cancer, and so had been spending most of her time in hospital, but Anastasia was too young to understand this, so she, Jacob, Nathan and Hazel hadn't been told yet.
"That's a wonderful idea sweetheart, do you want to drop it off there tomorrow?" Thomas asked with a soft smile and she nodded eagerly, protecting the tree against her chest now that it was going to be a gift.
Thomas pulled into the driveway of the Heart Mansion, and the kids quickly ran out, heading straight up to their rooms to pull on their bathers. Evelyn had brought her own in her school bag, so she too ran up with Anastasia to change, leaving Thomas to walk into the house alone.
Charlie's school had finished two weeks earlier, so he was already relaxing in the pool, along with Maggie and Harry, who were two of his friends from school. Maggie and Charlie were talking about their aspirations for the future whilst Harry utilised the small slide into the pool, splashing them both every time he went down.
Tina was busy cutting up fruit in the kitchen, but put down her knife to run into her husband's arms as he entered the kitchen. "Good you're here now, you can finish cutting up the rest of the pineapple," she ordered, planting a quick kiss on his cheek.
Knowing it was better not try and argue with Tina, Thomas got to cutting up the two pineapples Tina had left out on the table, as Tina walked outside to chat with Maggie, Harry and Charlie.
Meanwhile, Anastasia and Evelyn were just about to head downstairs when Jacob and Grayson ran out, with their arses on full display. Evelyn squealed as she saw Jacob, and he quickly kissed her cheek before running down the staircase.
