Seth POV
It was shocking to hear that I wasn't the only hybrid ever created. Part of me was happy thinking that I wasn't alone and who knows it might be a girl and you know maybe we could hit it off.
The other part was in denial, reason I have no idea. It almost felt like my subconscious wanted to disagree with the fact that I wasn't alone. Did I like being the only one feared and powerful.
"How do you know it a hybrid?" I asked recovering from my shock while getting up to get another drink cause I do need it.
My dad took a sigh before he spoke as if to say it a long story." During the war between the witches,vampires and werewolves. Werewolves were gaining more and more strength in the war due to us being so blessed by the moon goddess. She gave us everything we needed to take down our enemy,speed , strength,and magic or as we like to call it our elemental powers." He stood up and began taking little paces in the room like he was checking the decore of his own home.
"Now the vampires had this elemental powers but there still possed some weakness like fire and wood , the sun did nothing to them just made them more irritable than there all ready are. And because of that vampires hardly possesed any fire or wood element those who did were rare and were feared by the vampire community." He stopped pacing the room and sat back down at his chair while crossing his leg.
I just listened to his story cause most of what he is saying is not found on the history books.
"It didn't take too long when the vampires decided to make a truce with us in other to defeat the witches. the witches were the cause of everything and whenever there tried to solved it there always made it worse.there burned down our packs and family cursed some us into never surviving transition into our true form."
" It didn't take long when they started to do the same for the vampires so in order to defeat them the vampires and werewolves came to together but the vampires were sneaky. The truce with the wolves was a fake a cover up to offer us to the witches who their had already made a pact with."
Oh wow I definitely didn't see that coming makes me rethink if Lexi truly sees me as a friend or just someone she could tease. The hatred between this two species runs deep.
My parents must have really cared about me to make a deal with a vampire to save me. I didn't think about it at first but now I see that there must have gone through some hate too. Am gonna have to apologise to them later on.
"It was then that the vampires decided to get the witches to make something that shouldn't have exist." He continued.
"As we all know in order to kill a vampire you need to either burn it or stake it with wood in the heart although it is harder to kill old vampires like that it still applies to them and in order to kill a werewolf you either kill it before it transition or break it neck after transition but is also hard given our speed and strength." " The vampire decided to make something of both vampire and werewolf a hybrid which could not be possible that is why there required the help From witches."
"At that time the queen mother of the witches coven decided to go against it saying it was going against the law of nature and there have already sin against it too much but the vampires wouldn't take no for an answer and so there decided to trick the queen mother into making her doing her bidding."
" And what trick did there use " I asked sitting back down. Yeah I have been standing this whole time.
" We do not know of that seth all we know is that it worked and sure helped them create a hybrid who almost wiped the entire species. He was strong and truly immortal who couldn't be killed no matter what we tried. He attacked both vampires,wolves and witches alike. He was going out of control and we couldn't stop him." My dad said. Trying to hide the anger in his voice like he was actually there in the war.
I wonder how old he is. I know werewolves die eventually of old age but we age slowly every slowly. Like if you saw my mom you did think she was in her Early 30s but she is actually- wait I shouldn't say anything. It might spoil her young girl reputation.
"It didn't take long when we all decided to come together again even if we still had some bad blood between us. It was needed in order to bring that monster down" he continued " so the witches put him under a spell of enternal sleep since he couldn't be killed and the vampires created a tomb under the ocean were was locked up and chained. " My dad paused like he was remembering something that he didn't want to.
" We found out that he was a werewolve before becoming a hybrid" mr Alex continued like he sensed my dad discomfort with this story.
"And so since the war we decided to go out sperate ways which is why we still have one king or queen of all species" Alex finished the story.
" And you think that hybrid has woken from his slumber to take revenge and continue what he started" I asked this was starting to become a major headache for me.
" Why would you even think that I thought he was under some tomb in the ocean."
" Yes but we just got report from the vampire community saying that the tomb has been empty and the shackles were broken too." One of the elders said.
"Ok sorry to ask this but what does this have to do with me if I remember correctly none of you like me and I can practically smell the fear and anxiety off you all." I told them plainly as there eyes wide up in shock and there were taken aback.
" What do you mean what does this have to do with you. You asked what happened and this is the matter we are currently facing AND YOUR ASKING WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH YOU ARE U TRYING TO MAKE ME MAD " my dad yelled with every inch of muscle he had and every fiber of his alpha tone.
The room temperature picked up it The intensity of the power he released could even burn down the hardest to rock within secs, The beta and the elders were brought to there knees, even Emily who was outside and my mom was brought to her knees. I sometimes forget how powerful he is but he knows me better than them and that I have alpha blood in me and I don't kneel.
" Chill your pants alpha you brought everyone on there knees and made the room super hot." I said as I turned back and started walking out. He immediately calm down when I mentioned his wife and the pressure was lifted...it was like as if everyone could breath again.
" Am sorry everyone I didn't mean to-"
"No alpha don't apologise you have been going through some stress yourself because of this incident" the beta said to him trying to catch his own breath too.
Just as I was about to walk out the door my mom came rushing in with Emily. I guess there were worried about what happened in the living room.
"And were are you going seth " my dad asked anger still in his tone as he scowled his face towards me.
I just turned my face towards him and told him " am going to train it already time for that " and I started walking out again.

Alot of u might be wondering why is the book called the hybrid mate when it not even about his mate. Well am sorry for that this book is gonna focus on seth and a little about his mate but don't fret I got the second book in play already.
