"oh," my voice dropped as i saw my base. or should i say, what was left of my base. it was obvious it was blown up, with the massive hole in the ground and the missing walls. looking at my stream chat, they were all expressing their sadness.
yes, maybe it was a small base but it was hard work. it had taken hours to get to perfection. now, here it was, a hole in the ground. the chat soon started spamming tommy's name.
which honestly wasn't surprising. we had always gone after each other on the smp. it was a sibling bonding, just doing the most to annoy each other. however, i was trying to ignore it, i continued to act aloof, moving my character around the new crater.
"i have to say, whoever blew up my house had to have incredible timing. i wasn't in the nether long." then i spot a chest just a few blocks away from the crater. i sprint towards it, opening it to see a book. i sigh before putting the book into my hotbar, then leaving the chest to open it.
"dear loser, i thought your house was ugly so i blew it up. try a cobblestone tower next time. it'll just look way better. tommy." i sighed as i read out the message typed in the book out loud. "chat, i hate children." with that final thing, i ended off my stream. it had been two hours and the breaking of my house was the straw that broke the camel's back.
just then sam logged on. i smiled at the yellow words in chat, instantly whispering to him.
you whispered to awesamdude: are you streaming tonight?
awesamdude whispered to you: no im just playing
you whispered to awesamdude: can you help me with my house?? tommy blew it up :((

i smiled again, waiting for his character to show up at my house. within a minute he was there, crouching twice, which i returned.
awesamdude whispered to you: vc1?
i didn't respond in chat, instead just joining the open voice chat.
"hi!" his voice comes through my headphones. "how are you?"
"eh, i'm kind of annoyed. i worked forever on that house. i'm kind of upset, honestly." i tell him. he hums softly as a response. i go back into the chest tommy left, hoping for at least some materials to be in there.
"at least you moved all your stuff to my house recently," i smiled at his optimism. i offered a small chuckle, to which he returns. exiting out of the chest after seeing nothing, i see sam's character. although, it didn't click, so i screamed.
"oh! (y/n)! i'm sorry! i didn't mean to scare you! i'm so sorry," his voice softened at my scream. i take a big breathe before continuing.
"its okay, its okay," i smile softly.
"i do have an idea though, for your base now, we should add a redstone trap! we can make it to where you have to do something special to be able go get into the house! if you don't they can fall into lava, or, or maybe a drop straight to bedrock?" sam began to ramble off the options. i smiled at his slight protectiveness.
"sam, hey, it's okay. i just need to rebuild the house. i can get back at tommy, i'm sure." i tried settling him down. yet he wasn't having it.
"no, no," he paused for a second. "i have to make a trap! i'd like to keep my significant other safe, thank you very much." i knew with his statement there was no talking him out of it. i huffed out, moving my character.
"i'll rebuild the house and you can make the trap, okay?" i ask, going into the dark oak forest nearby for some wood.
"oh, i can help you with rebuilding the house too!" i smile at him. god, he was so nice.
"thank you."
"of course, (y/n)."
