Idia's alarm rung once again, he didn't feel like getting up, so he did his best to reach the button which stops it without looking. He knew that he didn't even find it, yet the alarm stopped. He decided to take it as a sign to go back to sleep.

"Big brother! Wake up already!" Ortho said, with a hand on his brother, shaking him in order to wake him up.
His brother was truly already awake but all he did was groan and  bury his face in the pillow.
The boy didn't really like his brother's stubborn attitude. So he grabbed his hand and started to drag it.
"Come on! You promised to take me to the zoo today!"
The prefect thought of it as another reason to stay in bed, however there was something weird with his brother's hand, they were too...human like.
Idia's curiosity gave him a boost, fully waking him up. He grabbed Ortho's hand and began to study it. It no longer looked the same way he built it, it now had a color much like human skin, not only that but it felt like he was touching a human's hand.
"Brother!" Ortho yelled, startling his brother, making him let go of his hand. "What's wrong with you today ?" He asked, embarrassed and angry at the same time.
Idia was staring at him with blank eyes: there was a person in front of him. An actual person. A human being, not something built by him.
He jumped out of bed with a power nobody knew he could have. He then lightly pinched his brother's cheeks. They were indeed like a human's.
"Owchw." He muttered, making the prefect let go.
"You are a human!" Idia said with excitement and a smile. That didn't sit well with Ortho though.
"Stop being such a meanie! Get dressed so that we can leave..."
After saying those words his brother left the room.

It's true that since Ortho was his creation he was very excited to see him being alive. So excited that he couldn't care less about anything else. Leona might as well make jokes about him, he wouldn't care. He probably couldn't even hear.

Idia grabbed his favourite hoodie and most comfortable pants. When he was about to take his headphones from the table his hand stopped. Maybe he was going to dedicate that day to his brother. That was the first time he was leaving them behind. He still took his phone, of course.

"Hurry up! The bus will leave before we get there if you move like that!" Ortho screamed from the distance, his brother wasn't really skilled when it came to sports. The gap between the two was huge, but, surprisingly, Idia sprinted towards him. When they arrived at the bus station, he was out of breath.
"...you still shouldn't overdo it..." the boy muttered, looking at his brother who was still trying to calm down his breathing.
When he finally managed to do so, he continued to study Ortho.

The two looked almost identical. The boy was as short as in his previous form, his skin was just a little bit tanned, probably from playing outside for so long. His short fiery hair made it obvious he was a member of the Shroud family, but also made it easy to find him, in case they got separated.
Feeling his brother staring at him, the boy turned around and the two made eye contact.
As expected, both had the same bright yellow eyes. Idia smiled weakly, only making his brother more confused. He wanted to ask why he was so happy, but the bus arrived and it was Ortho's turn to smile.

The two sat next to the window and remained quiet for a very long time, when Idia finally decided to break the silence.
"Is there any special reason why we are going to the zoo ? Game expo or something similar ?"
Once again, Ortho seemed angry.
"Stupid brother!"
The way he said it made his brother think he was trying to act like a tsundere or something similar.
"You said that it will be a gift since i've been chosen to go to Night Raven College next year...i was fine with spending time with you at school, but you will be a fourth year then..."
The sadness in his voice could be easily noticed, his eyes also seemed a little teary. Then he looked up and started to let himself get lost in a daydream. Probably memories of the two brothers' times together. Somehow that made Idia sad as well.

Once they arrived at the zoo, the man cowered.
"I'm not going to such a busy place!"
It was truly hard for Ortho to convince him to go along and give the tickets at the reception, but what mattered is that he succeeded.

They watched many animals living their daily lives. The boy seemed especially interested in the white tigers, which were on the other side of the zoo. They stopped to look at many other animals, however Idia didn't seem particularly interested in any of them.

Once they actually got to the white tigers, the prefect understood why his brother wanted to go there.
It seemed that the tiger family was getting bigger, they had a newborn baby tiger. Newborn is much said, they were old enough to stay outside and play.
Another tiger seemed to be taking care of him, smaller than the adults but bigger than the little one.
"That's his older brother!"
"So cute!"
He heard a few women saying as they pointed at the tiger duo.
"I've always wanted to see them...because they are a lot like the two of us!" Ortho said with a smile, grabbing his brother's attention.
"Yeah..." he replied with a smile before turning his head back to the two.
"...happy birthday, brother." The boy whispered, not loud enough for anyone but himself to hear.

The two then headed to a 'special' caffe, since both were craving something sweet. Idia couldn't say why it was special since he was wearing a blindfold.
"Now..."
He heard his brother's voice in the distance, but strangely enough someone still took the blindfold off.

The first thing he heard was the clock's alarm. As annoying as it was the first time he woke up. He looked around the room, that was clearly not where he was supposed to be. That was his room in NCR...which looked more different than the room he was previously sleeping in as well.
'Of course that it was a dream, what else could it be ?' He thought, letting put a soft sigh.

After a few moments he heard the door open and the familiar sound of Ortho's footsteps. It looked like he was trying to be stealthy.
"Ortho..." he called out as he got up from his bed, but he could continue the sentence.
In front of him was his younger brother, the same way he has always been, not the imaginary human version of him. He was carrying a cake with two layers. The main color seemed to be white, but it also had blue decorations. In other words, Idia's colors.
There were a few candles on it too, blue as well.
"H-happy birthday..." Ortho muttered, embarrassed that he was caught and the surprise was destroyed.
His brother let out a small laugh which only made the boy more embarrassed.
"I asked Trey Clover to help me with it...the recipe seemed like something you would like so..."
He felt a hand on his head, his brother's.
"Thank you."

Sniff sniff, Idia refuses to come home. I pulled for so many times and no card of him. I guess i have really bad luck haha...

Also, kind of sorry for not making this with reader inserted but it just didn't feel right...
Um anyway, we are now officially starting the 'best-boys birthdays time', consisting of Idia's, Lilia's and Malleus' birthday. They are pretty close to each other so i'm not sure if my lazy self will actually write any chapters in between~
