"Must be awkward for you honey" Kathrine says.

"Not really mum, I was just surprised a bit" Gun tells, they're talking about their encounter with Mark's mother just now.

"Did you see Mark? Trisha said she came with her husband and son" Kath says.

Gun rolls his eyes after hearing the name, "Yeah I met him"

Kathrine raises her eyebrows, "Something wrong? Did he do anything to you?" she asks in concern.

"No he didn't do anything, let's not talk about him" Gun says.

Kathrine nods, "I'm sorry for asking dear, let's go find your father"

Now the Napats are currently in the car, on their way back home from the event. Gun is sitting in between his parents while their butler is driving the car.

"Son"

"Hm?" Gun responds to his dad lazily, he's so exhausted.

"Are you okay?" his father asks.

"I'm fine, just a bit tired" Gun mumbles.

Kathrine turns to look at her son and caresses his hand, she knew that his son is going through a lot mentally.

"I was talking to Bruce Siwat at the event" Philip tells.

"And?" Gun kinda expected this, so he's not really surprised after hearing that.

"He invited us to dinner" Philip continues.

Gun turns to look at his father in confusion, "What? For what reason exactly? Our family aren't that close and you just met him right?" he says.

"I'm sure he was just trying to be polite"

Gun sighs, "Fine whatever, you both can join the dinner and leave me out of it please"

"If you don't feel like going that's up to you love, we are not forcing you" Kathrine says.

"That's right son" Philip agrees with his wife.

Gun will never understand why the hell Mark's family suddenly interested in his family. First his mother and now his father. Last time he checked, his father is not very fond of Mark at all.

"You can sleep on me dear, I'll wake you up when we arrive, I'm sure my baby is tired" Kathrine says.

Gun smiles at that and leans his head on his mother's shoulder and closes his eyes.
