The Impossibilities of Us

Chapter 24

Before he can continue, Tori barges into my room.

"I'M FREE!!!" Tori yells with her arms wide open and her head looking up.

She acts like she has just been free'd from 10 years of prison.

"God-fucking-damnit!" Daniel exclaims.

Tori looks down and sees Daniel on my chair and asks while pointing to him, "What's he doing here?"

"I beat up her brother," Daniel says bluntly.

Tori's eyes widen and then go back to a confused state.

"What for?" She asks with ruffled eyebrows.

"Long story," I start then say, "Anyways, so you're not grounded anymore?"

She nods happily while back-flopping onto my bed with, once again, her arms wide open, hitting my leg a little by accident.

"You mind? I'm trying to explain something here," Daniel says to Tori annoyed.

Tori just flips him off and says, "Then explain while I'm here. Deal with it user!"

Daniel sighs and rolls his eyes, "My explanation would need alone time with Belle over here!"

"Ugh, just explain later then," I sigh.

"But you're gonna stay mad at me," he complains.

"Get out of my room," I demand.

"Well, I'm leaving this house and renting out a hotel room because there is no way I'm staying in Tom's room after beating his ass," he says standing up and walking to the door.

"A hotel room where?" I ask but he just walks out of the room without another word being said.

"Anyways..." Tori trails off beside me, "Letting me out is my parents' Christmas gift to me including about $200 to buy whatever I want."

Wait.

Then it hit me as fast as that bus hit Regina George.

I didn't even get anyone a Christmas gift yet. Only Tori, my mom, and Johnny. I only bought gifts for them because I didn't know that everyone else was coming here at the time.

I jump out of bed and say, "We're going gift shopping."

Tori's eyes go wide open again, "You didn't even buy gifts yet?!"

"I did, but not Riv and everyone else who's visiting!"

I didn't even wrap anyone's gift yet because I was so distracted this whole week and last week dealing with the Kaden thing and every other chaotic thing going on in my life. All the gifts were hidden in my closet and I hid it very good.

I made sure that it was a place in the closet where no one ever goes to, so no one would be able to find it.

"Okay, let's go to the mall then," Tori says jumping out of the bed like me and grabs her keys.

"You head down to the car. I'll just go and check where the hell Daniel is going," I say getting a change of clothes from my sweats.

Tori nods and goes to her car while I quickly change.

While in the process of changing in my room, Daniel walks in and says, "So now that we're alone, I can expl-"

And then he cuts himself off while his eyes give my whole body a once over and his jaw drops.

I was in the middle of putting on my jeans and the only thing that I had on was matching underwear.

I quickly grab the nearest pillow I can find and cover my upper body.
