Chapter 1: A Past Dream And School

Branden lived in a medium sized house in the suburbs of Valoran and had a pretty comfortable life. He worked car detailing and made fifteen dollars an hour. He afforded a nice house and a red sports car. The past four years he has worked and loved his job. He went to Valoran High School last year as a sophomore and now is a junior. A week break is in two days and will have the week off work. He wanted to hangout with his friends as much as he could over break. He grew comfortable living with regular humans; he made many friends and enjoyed their hobbies. He was popular in school the moment he entered. He was surprised to see popular people friend him. To this day; he still has no clue why he became popular so quickly.

Branden is laying in bed and is in a deep sleep. He started to dream a past memory. Branden and Ahri are on the ground in a forest; they are stargazing in the night sky. This memory had a special place in his heart, even if he doesn't know it...

Six Years before the present

Branden's POV

"Ahri you are-" Ahri interrupted me, "Beautiful?" I turned my head to look at her, "Well that's true, but that's not what i was gonna say." I responded with amusement. "What were you gonna say?" Ahri responded confused, "Your tails are wrapped around my waist and it hurts." I said while we had locked eyes. "Oh let me help" Ahri said as she squeezed my waist harder, she was clearly teasing me. "It actually hurts Ahri." I said almost with a tear coming out, she loosened them up and we looked deeper into each other's eyes.

A few seconds of silence fell between us as we gazed into each other's eyes, i saw sparkles forming in her eyes. I looked at her blushing, "We have an important job Ahri, and I'm glad that I'm doing it with you." Ahri then hugged me and we both blushed, she had her nine tails wrapped around me as we both cuddled. After a few minutes of cuddling; she released me and we started to talk about the memories we had. "Remember when we first met you? You were so scared" Ahri said while laughing, "Yeah, the whole team seemed scary at first but then you all treated me like family." I said with a smile. "I'm glad the first star brought us together." I said blushing, "Me too, we are destined to be together." Ahri responded as we continued to gaze.

Branden suddenly hears an alarm noise as everything fades to black...

I was startled by the sound of my alarm clock, I looked over to see that it was seven a.m. and needed to get up for school. "That alarm clock is so annoying." I said angrily. I got out of bed and thought about the dream. It's been six long years since that happened, I need to forget my past and move on, I thought as I was brushing my teeth.

I finished brushing my teeth and went to the kitchen. I opened my fridge and thought, What should I have for breakfast today? I grabbed some pancakes, a muffin, and orange juice. "Well I guess this will do." I said aloud. I took my breakfast out of the microwave and sat down at my table; as i went to eat it, my phone went off and I checked to see who messaged me. It was Chris (my chill classmate, same height as me, and a fun person to hang out with), the message said "Yo the girls wanna meet up early, can you come like twenty five minutes early?" I quickly texted him with curiosity, "sure can, do you know why?" I finished eating and put my dish and glass cup in the dishwasher. I went to my room and got dressed.

I put on my black long sleeve shirt, white sweatpants, and my white hoodie with blue linings and gold hoodie laces. I looked at the mirror and thought I looked amazing, I hope the girls like this look. After i put my clothes on, my phone went off. I checked to see what Chris typed, it said "They have someone to show us, seems like a surprise to me." I went to the garage and started my sports car so I could warm up the engine. I grabbed my backpack, phone, phone charger, and earbuds before I left for my car.

Timeskip to the school parking lot

I quickly got to the school since it was only a five minute drive from my home, plus I may or may not speed all the time. I arrive at the student parking to see everyone near my parking spot. I pulled in and parked; I got out and my friends walked to me. Chris, Ruby (Chris's girlfriend, fun to hangout with as well, and is part of the school Cheer), Soraka (Shy and doesn't talk a lot but loves to hangout, she loves to spend time star gazing, and is good at health class), Miss Fortune (Edgy, strong opinions, likes to argue, great at planning events, and is supportive of her friends), Syndra (incredible at acting and was a drama queen, one of my best friends, and helped me regain confidence), Travis (tall , he plays basketball for the school, and is incredibly funny and competitive), and Jackson (my first friend since i went to school, soccer player for the school, and is supportive during depressing times).

"So, why are we here early?" I asked curiously. Ruby responds with "I heard there is a new student coming." Syndra interrupts us, "Everyone is talking about this person." Syndra was clearly jealous. I just stood there with a curious look on my face. Travis saw that I was curious and decided to poke fun at me "Hey Branden, you gonna tap this one?" said Travis as the group laughed. I respond with sarcasm, "Haha very funny." Jackson looked at me, "I never seen you so curious about something, I mean there are many new students each year. Plus you just joined last year." I looked at Jackson stunned as to what he just said.

We all started walking towards the school entrance, i was talking to jackson the whole time. "I am always curious when a new student arrives, i'm always down to make new friends." Jackson looked at me and nodded. I looked over at the group and saw that Ruby was anxious. She definitely knows something about this person, I thought.

We all entered the school and stayed near the entrance. We started talking about random stuff. I just had fun chatting and making jokes. Soraka then looks at me "Branden, how's the progress on the stargazing project?" said Soraka with a smile. I was looking at her surprised, "I haven't even started it, can i finish it in two days?" She responded with "I'm almost done, I could help you finish it." Miss Fortune joined in "We could meet up at night and star gaze, it should help you." I smiled "I appreciate the help you two, I can't imagine trying to finish it without help." Soraka and Miss Fortune smiled. Soraka quickly added, "The project isn't due until we get back from break, you have a bunch of time to complete this project." I nodded with a smile.

Class would start in ten minutes so Jackson left quickly and so did Chris. I quickly looked at my schedule: Yearbook, Math, Language, Astronomy, History, and Physical Education. I waved goodbye to them and a female voice called to us. "Hey Ruby, i'm guessing this is your group?" I turned around to see who it was.

I turned to see a female hugging Ruby. I immediately noticed that she was about an inch shorter than me, wore a darkish pink uniform that had a white collared shirt with a red tie, a gray and white skirt, long dark pink socks, dark pink sneakers, had long blond hair, and blonde fox ears.

I had made eye contact with her pink fox like eyes. Little did I know this was going to change my life again. I exclaimed in my head as I looked at her with disbelief AHRI!?!?

This is my first story I have written and there is so much more to be added.

I had this story in my head for about 2 years. Putting 2 years of my story into chapters is pretty difficult.

I pretty much had to revise 60% of this chapter, I received some tips and realized most of the story is everywhere.

I have 2 chapter initially ready but now that i had to revise this; im going to spent a day or two revising the next two.
