2 - The point of no return

Kylo Ren began to speak and state the goals that each branch of the department had for the rest of the year. You straightened in your seat. His gaze swept the auditorium stopping on you. Those eyes again. You lick your lips. His face remained expressionless, but his eyes were amber fire consuming you entirely.

Spellbound you heard him talk about the vision and what he expected from the investigation team. What agreements were going to be carried out with different universities, what were the improvements made in the department's installations and the budget for new equipment that your group had.

You hate to admit it, but you couldn't care less what he said.

His eyes never left yours.

When he finished talking about you -that is, the research group- he no longer laid eyes on you.

You felt empty. Needy.

The presentation ended after Hux -the one who strangely looks like a constipated Bill Weasley... fact that makes him a Percy- introduced the staff.

Some were beginning to leave, most of the people stay in small groups chatting animatedly. You need to go outside. Not only did you have a panic attack, but you had the weirdest interaction with your new boss.

You need to calm down.

On your way to the door, a man intercepted you. Deep skin, bright contagious smile. Just gorgeous.

"Hey! Y/N, right? I'm Finn. We spoke before by email."

"Oh. Yes. Hi! Nice to meet you." You shake his hand.

"I was looking for you. Come with me." he said with a gesture of invitation.

"Um, is it okay if I take a moment? I need some fresh air." Feeling your face on fire.

"Oh sure. Are you okay?"

"Totally." You smiled at him. "I think it's just a little hot in here."

"No biggie. We'll wait for you. You have to meet the guys ... and the lab. It's AWESOME."

You laugh. "I'll be right back."

You practically ran through the hallways. When you've reached the exit door to the small park on the side of the building and the fresh air hit your face you felt finally okay. Leaning against the wall, eyes closed, you have control again.

The noise of the treetops moving with the wind, the distant murmur of people, the sun peeking through the clouds.

Your calm did not last long.

A voice.

You heard that voice say your last name next to you. Surprisingly well pronounced. He can totally roll his Rs. You suppressed a giggle.

When you opened your eyes Kylo Ren was approaching you by your right.

"Run." You thought.

Your legs didn't respond. You were staring intently at the bench that was closer from you as if your life depended on it.

"Look at me." Was an order.

Your eyes shot to his. You lick your lips.

"If you can't control whatever is happening to you, you don't have to fucking work here. You know that? It infuriates me."
