10th Training Ground
The 10 remaining Chunin reach the Training Ground to see Anko already there and smirking and Sai asks "So how is this going to work?"
"You will split into 2 teams and fight until the timer ends, whoever is left standing moves on to the next exam" says Anko.
"Alright, what are our teams?" asks Sakura.
"Team 1 ... Naruto Uzumaki ... Sakura Haruno ... Sai ... Rock Lee and Hinata Hyuga, Team 2 ... Shino Aburame ... Tenten Hyukuichi ... Ino Yamanaka ... Shikamaru Nara and Shoma Kaguya" says Anko.
"How do we starts this?" asks Naruto.
Anko throws down a smoke bomb and shouts "Start now!"
Everyone jumps back into the trees as Naruto thinks 'She didn't even give us the chance to group up with our team!'
Naruto peers into the smoke from a tree to se a humanoid shape coming towards him and he responds by jumping back thinking 'Damn, I can't tell who anyone is in this smoke' as he still can't make out the person in the smoke and then he thinks 'I can't blow the smoke away, it would reveal everyone's position and since Hinata can use her Byakugan to hunt down everyone in the smoke, it'd be a waste to take away that advantage' so he waits when he sees something grow out of the silhouette and thinks 'Shoma' who jumps at him and Naruto curses "Shit!" as he jumps out of the way.
"Hey Naruto!" shouts Shoma as he slashes at him.
Naruto dodges the attack and jumps back and says "Hey Shoma".
"I don't want to hurt you so give up" says Shoma.
"Not a chance" shouts Naruto as he punches at Shoma who easily dodges.
"I won't lose!" shouts Shoma as he swings his bone at Naruto who blocks it with a Kunai while jumping over it and swinging his leg at Shoma who jumps back dodging as Naruto throws several Kunai which Shoma dodges backwards.
Naruto lands on his feet and says "Your bones are dull".
"You caught me, I'm not the type to use sharp blades against a comrade" says Shoma.
"Thanks, you made leading you into a trap that much easier" says Naruto.
"Trap? ... ! Damn it" says Shoma as a Seal appears around him trapping him in place and Hinata arrives and hits Shoma in his Tenketsu.
"Thanks" says Naruto.
"No problem Naruto-Kun" says Hinata.
"Alright we should spread out, we have the advantage in numbers but the other team has Shikamaru so we need to be careful and prevent them from contacting him or else we lose" says Naruto.
"Okay" says Hinata as she begins to leave.
"Look for Shikamaru while you're spreading out, when you find him engage anyone heading towards him, and watch out for Shino, don't let him catch you off guard, he's the most dangerous here, whatever you do, do not let Shino and Shikamaru converge or we'll be wiped out and take out Ino, she's a messenger, don't let her come in contact with either Shino or Shikamaru " says Naruto.
"Got it Naruto-Kun" says Hinata as she turns her Byakugan and sees Sai who s fighting Shikamaru and so she grabs Sai and gets out of there saying "Naruto-Kun told me, that we shouldn't engage Shikamaru yet".
"Fine" says Sai reluctantly when he looks back to see Shikamaru smiling as the area around them explodes and they are sprawled on the ground unable to move as Shino can be seen standing in the trees doing that glasses shining thing.
