Lia Conrad

I woke up in my bed, the light shining in through the window bathing the room in gold. I smiled thinking of Jack and I's date last night.

He's mine again. And I'm grateful.

I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen to get breakfast. As I walked out of the room, I smelled pancakes and bacon. I walked into the kitchen and saw Jack cooking breakfast.

"Good morning, beautiful. " Jack said as he heard me come in.

"What are you doing there, Jack?"

"Makin' breakfast for you." He said with a smile. "I figured you would like pancakes and bacon. You know? Like we used to have together. "

"I know, Jack. " I said with a chuckle. I walked over to the table in the breakfast nook but before I sat down, I looked over my shoulder and glanced at Jack.

"Do you need any help?"

"Sit down, Lia. It's almost done." I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"You know," Jack started. "I was thinking that we could go to the boardwalk today. What do you think?"

"I think that is an absolutely splendid idea, Mr. Gilinsky." I said in a British accent.

"I love it when you use that accent."

I shrugged my shoulders. "Eh. Everyone does."

After breakfast, Jack and I got dressed and headed for the boardwalk. It was a beautiful afternoon in California and everything was how it should be. My hand in Jack's, walking down to the beach.

We went on the beach and stopped near the water's edge. Jack had his arms around my waist, facing the water, his head resting on top of mine.

"Do you ever think that one day maybe you could travel the whole ocean?" I asked Jack.

"Well sometimes but I think of how much money that would cost."

I nodded. "Good point, Mr. Gilinsky. Good point."

"You ask some interesting questions, Mrs. Gilinsky."

I sighed, still looking out at the water.

"Hey. You okay?" He nudged me slightly. "You want to go home?" I nodded. "Maybe we could make popcorn and watch a movie?"

"That sounds perfect." I said. He released me from his embrace and we joined hands again, walking back to the car from our nice day out.

But sometimes I wonder...

Is this really what I want?

I had this on quotev and forgot about it for 3 months. Oops.
