That guy is me hahaha

Lia Conrad

We drove up to the school. I took in a deep breath and exhaled. I'm going to my dream school. I was about to open my car door when Jack said, "Babe. I got it." He said with a huge smile on his face. He undid his seat belt and ran over to my side of the car, opening the door for me. I grabbed my bag from the back seat of the car and closed the door. Jack slung his arm tightly around my shoulders and kissed me on the cheek.
"So, are you excited?" Jack questioned.
"Of course." I smiled up at him. "Are you and Jack excited to be recording more music?"
"Yes. I am so excited because there is a surprise for you at the studio." He smirked.
        "Well, what is it?"
"That's the point of a surprise." Jack said in a duh tone. We approached the front doors of the school. My first class started at 8 and it was now 7:30.
"Okay. I have to go now." Jack frowned. "Oh stop." I placed my hand on his toned arm. "It won't be that long. My next class isn't until 11 I think, okay?" He nodded.
"I'll be thinking of you like I always am." He winked. I leaned up and pecked his lips, his hands resting on my hips. "I love you." He said.
"I love you, too. Now go. Record your music. I'll call you when class is over." I turned from him, entering the large building.

When I walked into the classroom, the professor welcomed me to the class. There was a limited number of  seats due to me coming in only a few minutes before class started. I sat next to a very handsome looking man. He had beautiful green eyes and short brown hair, almost like Jack's. He looked over at me and smiled. He introduced himself as Aiden. I gave him my name and class started. Aiden cracked jokes throughout the whole class. He seemed very outgoing and like a nice guy.

After class, I called Jack and told him that class was over. I sat down on a park bench near a tree to shade me and made sure I could see when Jack pulls up.  I knew he would be a little while so I pulled out a book I had started on the other day. I felt someone sit down beside me on the bench. I looked up and Aiden was sitting next to me.
"Hey, Aiden." I smiled at him.
"Hey, Lia." He looked over at the book I held in my hand. "What are you reading?" I held the book up and looked at it.
"Oh? This? It's just some good old John Green. Paper Towns."  His face lit up.
"Oh cool! I love John Green. My favorite book is Looking For Alaska." He started to look nervous, his green eyes becoming dark. "So, are you waiting for someone or..." He trailed off.
"Yeah. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up." His face fell slightly.
"Oh well, if you need a ride, I could give you one."
"No. It's fine. He should be here any minute but thanks for the offer."  I smiled at him.
        "You sure?" He asked.
        "Yup." I laughed.
"Well, maybe when you get the chance, we can go out for lunch or something later? What class do you have next?"
"I have psychology at 11. But, sure. I would love to." I smiled.  I told him I have a boyfriend yet he asks me to eat lunch with him? Well now that he knows, it's just lunch with a friend. I hope that's how he sees it. I saw Jack pull up and get out of the car. "Well, I've got to go. My boyfriend is here. Thanks for keeping me company." I said as I stood up.
"No problem. Any time." He paused for a moment. "Before you go, let me have your number. You know so I can text you about lunch?"
"Sure!" He handed me his phone with the "new contact" screen open. I put my number into his phone and waved goodbye, heading over to meet Jack in the parking lot.
"Hello beautiful." Jack said, smiling. He gave me a kiss on the cheek. "How was your first day?"
"Pretty good." I leaned up and pecked him on the lips. We started making our way to the car, hand in hand.
"Who was that?" He asked, referring to Aiden.
"That was just Aiden. I met him in my class. He's pretty cool. I'm having lunch with him later." I felt Jack tense up beside me. I placed my hand on his arm. "Hey, it's fine. He was just being friendly."
"Yeah. A little too friendly." He mumbled.
"Calm down, Jack. It's okay. He's just a friend. I just met him today." Jack opened my car door and I climbed inside of the car. He ran over to his side and got in. He pulled out of the parking space and held my hand as he drove.

My lunch with Aiden was fun. He has so many things in common with me. We have the same type of music taste and we both love reading. We shared a lot about each other. I told him about Jack and how we were engaged and he mentioned small things about his family back in New York City. Right now, we were walking on the beach, our shoes in our hand.
"Want to sit?" He asked. I nodded yes and we took a seat on the warm sand. The wind was blowing my long brown hair in my face and I had realized that I forgot to bring a hair tie. Aiden noticed this and commented on my lack of the hair accessory. He reached over and pulled a small piece of hair behind my ear which I had done many times already. "You're so beautiful." he said. I thanked him, feeling a little strange about his outburst of an observation. He looked into my eyes and started to lean in. Before I could pull away, he had already planted a kiss on my slightly chapped lips. He got cut short by someone pulling him away by his shirt collar.
