Chapter Thirteen

Tony pulled up in his car out the front of my building right on time,  as soon as the car was parked he immediately got out and made is way to me, bending down he lifted my one duffel bag into his trunk.

“All set?” He asked me.

“Yep” I reply as I open the passenger car door and got into his car “Thanks for agreeing to leave earlier then we had originally planned Tony.” I said as soon as he had gotten back into the car.

“That’s coo Kylah, I’m just glad that you could come”

He started the car and drove away from my building. We drove for about three hours before we reached a large log cabin sitting in the middle of the woods, there was a large lake that I could see from the car, there looked to be canoe sitting on the bank of the lake as well as some chairs and tables. The cabin itself seemed to have a wall of trees surrounding it, giving the cabin a lot of privacy. Not that it needed the trees for privacy, the cabin was in the middle of nowhere.

“Do you come here a lot?” I asked Tony as soon as I had gotten out of his car.

Tony shrugged his shoulders “I used to come up here all the time on my days off, haven’t really had much of a chance to lately though.”

“Well if I owned a place like this I don’t think I would ever leave,” I tell him.

Tony laughs at my response, “Yeah I sometimes wished I didn’t have to leave this place either.”

They walked inside the Cabin and Tony had sat our bags down near the door, I walked around the cabin and had a look around. There was a massive fireplace sitting in the lounge room, it looked as if it hadn’t been used in a while.

“Did you want me to show you where your room is?” Tony asked walking up behind me.

“Sure” I say smiling at him.

After picking up my bag near the front door Tony lead me down a hallway that lead of the lounge room, the walls were all made of wood and had a varnish smell to them. He stopped in front of a wooden door and looked back at me “I hope you like the room.” He said before reaching for the door handle and opening the door. I followed him inside the room and the first thing I noticed was the large window that overlooked the lake.

“Wow that’s some view” I said walking up to the window,

“This room has the best view of the lake,” Tony said walking up beside me looking out the window.

It was beautiful. I looked at Tony and smiled “I’m surprised you didn’t take this room.”

Tony shrugged his shoulders “I thought you would appreciate it more.” He looked me in the eyes and just stared at me for a moment before he cleared his throat. “Anyway there’s not much in here.” He said gesturing to the room. “As you can see you have a bed, and some draws for your clothing, a small sofa , the fireplace works.” He says pointing at the fireplace that was on the opposite side of the room from the bed, it had a small sofa that sat in front of it which would be lovely to curl up on with a good book, during a cold night, the with the fireplace going. “So let me know if you want me to start it for you,” Tony said pulling me out of my daydream.
