I was making progress with myself. I wanted to lay off the drugs so I took two weeks to stay clean and see how my body and mind reacted. And just to stay of drugs. I've been doing fine mostly. No tears or drugs. I'd say that a success. But today I wanted to do something. So I decided to take a trip. I was sick of California anyway. I wanted to see my old friend from public school. We were close and his father worked with mine. But his dad died during a mission so we lost contact. I was 14. I have his number and he still lives in a mansion with his mother in Oregon. So I wanted to see him and talk to him. He was the only person during homeschool and in general I could trust after my mother died.
So I got up early; 7:00. I showered and got ready. Something I haven't done besides showering.

I straightened my hair, did light makeup, and grabbed a small bag to take.
I walked downstairs. Kam, Porter, and Payton were in the kitchen and living room. Their eyes were all fixed on me. I walked down quickly and walked to the stash of car keys. I picked up the keys to the white mercedes and put them in my pocket. I grabbed my wallet and a pack of cigarettes. Payton walked into the kitchen were I was and grabbed a glass of water. He was hesitant and couldn't take his eyes off me. I turned around to grab a water and bumped into him. I stood there for a moment. I took in the same cologne he always wears. It was my favorite. I held all my emotions in as I was fighting back tears. I walked away and he wanted to say something, but nothing came out.
Nicole: "Porter, will you take me to the private jets please?" I asked.
Porter: "Of course miss." he said.
I gave him the keys and later I was on the jet landing in Oregon. Porter took me to the mansion and I walked up to the gate and rang the keypad.
"Who is it?" a faint women's voice said.
Nicole: "Um it's Nicole Logan." I said hesitantly.
It went silent for a moment. The gate opened and out came the women. It was his mother. She embraced me into a tight hug.
"Nicole darling it's been so long." she said happy.
Nicole: "I know, I missed you guys." I said, hugging her tightly.
"Johnny will be so happy to see you." she said resting her hand on my cheek.
I let her and I smiled.
"Shall we go inside?" she asked.
I nodded and I was welcomed with the fresh scent of lavender. Johnny loved the smell of it. This house brought back so many memories and I spent a lot of my early teenage years here during the summer. It made me smile and relax.
"Mom who's here?"
Oh my god. His voice. God his voice made me smile harder. He came out of elevator and saw me. He stopped and his hands flew over to his mouth. He was smiling through his hands.
Johnny: "Oh my god Nicole." he said and ran to me.
I laughed as he picked me up and swung me around. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled into his neck. He put me down, still in shock.
Johnny: "Wh-why are you here?" he asked about to start crying.
Nicole: "I missed you." I said softly and he hugged me again. This time tighter and warmer.
Johnny: "I missed you so much." he said whispering in my ear.
I her crying and it was Mrs. Orlando.
He let me go and we both looked at her.
Mrs. Orlando: "No no don't look at me." she said laughing and crying.
We smiled and hugged her.
Me and johnny sat in one of his lofts and sat for a second. Embracing each others existence. He gave me his warm smile and finally broke the silence.
Johnny: "So, how's life? And how's your father?" he asked.
My faced dropped. A wave of emotions hit my body. I couldn't speak for a moment.
Nicole: "Uh um he's uh gone." I said looking at my hands.
His face dropped too. My father was a father figure to Johnny. I saw his smile fade quickly.
Johnny: "Uh what do you mean?" he asked slowly.
Nicole: "He uh died almost a year ago." I said, letting a tear hit my cheek.
My voice became shaky. My hands were cold, and I felt a lump in my throat.
He didn't say anything. I saw his heart shatter into a million pieces. I hugged him.
Nicole: "I'm really sorry, I should've told you." I said crying now.
He hugged me back and cried into my shoulder.
We both sat and cried. And cried. And cried.
I felt awful. I was such a bitch back then. I didn't even think to call Johnny. I guess it really was a long time. I broke out of the hug and stood up.
Nicole: "I need some air." I said and grabbed my bag.
I walked out to his balcony and fondled through my bag to get a cigarette. I got one and pulled out my lighter. I lit it quickly and inhaled. The nicotine hit my brain and I instantly relaxed. I rested my forearms on the railing and leaned my head over. I let all of thoughts still consume any space in my head. I heard the balcony door open and Johnny revealed himself. I smiled.
Nicole: "Sorry, I just don't really talk about it anymore." I said softly.
Johnny: "It's okay, I don't blame you." He said walking over to me.
He leaned on the railing the same as I did and took the cigarette from my fingers and placed it in his. He took a hit and relaxed as well.
Johnny: "Let's just not talk about it. Okay?" he asked.
I nodded and leaned my head on his shoulder.
Nicole: "I'm sorry for barging in on you like that. It was rude." I said.
Johnny: "Don't apologize. I'm more than happy to have you here." he said with a soft smile.
I nodded.
He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me in closer. I cuddled up close to him and took a deep breathe.
Nicole: "Don't worry you won't have to deal with me very long." I said.
Johnny: "Stay as long as you need." he said.
Nicole: "Are you sure?" I asked looking up to his eyes.
