A few hours pass. Everyone is panicking and wondering why he isn't picking a sacrifice like he usually does.
Usually his choice takes minutes. But this time, it was taking a few hours.
That was when the roof of Baljeet's home tore open.
A large green hand that could only belong to one person reached inside and picked up Baljeet. The hand gripped around him tightly and firmly.
As Baljeet rose off the ground, he waves goodbye to his family. His death was coming. He accepted his fate.
Oddly enough, he felt safe in Shrek's hands.
As he rose, he soon saw Shrek's face at eye-level.
The two looked at each other, not a word passed between the two. Shrek opens his palm and Baljeet steps on it. He moves the palm slowly towards his face and his lips, which were too big for Baljeet's mouth, almost swallowed him whole.
When his mouth left Baljeet, his entire body was covered in slime.
Shrek then moves his hand to his lower pocket, where he stored Baljeet, to be brought out later.
