Being a teenage girl is hard enough, but it's harder for Jackie since she's on the run from the US government.

Jackie Robinson's just trying to keep herself (and her two older brothers and dad) alive. She's trying to find a place to settle down and attempt a normal life. It's been many failed attempts for the past eight years, escaping the government agents after her, barely, each time. Austin, Texas seems like a safe place: big city, lots of crowds, and they'd never been that far south.

Just when Jackie's given up on finding a first love and true friendship, she stumbles across Parker Simmons, the boy who will either be her greatest ally or her entire undoing.
