On the run from her abusive husband, Rose assumes an alias and heads to a town she's never heard of in hopes of finding a safe, quiet place where she can move forward and forget the horrors of her past. She expects that her life will be lonely and boring, but instead finds a new kind of family and a man that she isn't allowed to love.
