Marching Stories

Band things! These are all my fun stories about my high school band. Unless you're a band kid you probably won't find the humor in them. Sorry. Fair warning the chapter titles are interesting to say the least. Once you read the chapter you will understand.

Julie Meyer lives, breathes and sleeps marching band. When her father tells her that her family is moving away she tries not to think of what her best friends are doing back in Lancaster. When Julie walks into a crippling marching band, she makes it her goal to help fix them and to make them better. All of the band members look up to her and admire her. But will her old friends hate her? And what's this all about a love triangle?

This book is has memories from the marching band I was in and it also has some funny quotes and jokes and stuff. Enjoy!

In this entry, for another intro to writing assignment from 2019, I took two one-shots I had already written back around 2012-2013, (Untitled and its Prequel, Ordinary) and revised/combined them into one long short story.

What happens when you die?

When Ariel's band of 200 goes on a trip to Disney World her senior year, dreams do come true for her along her journey. But it starts with her being pushed to the back of the bus with the annoying boys in her grade: Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik. During her trip she starts a vlog on YouTube with Harry, and each video they become a little closer to each other.

Life has a plan for all of us. You are born onto a conveyor belt of nothing. It is your destiny. There is no way to change it. Whether your destiny includes meeting the love of your life at the age of 14, or if it concludes never finding love. There is no changing it. There is however a way to make it your destiny. You have to embrace it, everyone has their own destiny and their own conveyor belt to nothing. This is how I found my destiny, and how I made my destiny special to me.
