Marching Stories

One family with seven children. Following their ups and downs, throughout the years. Characters are from The Sound of Music, but can be read without having seen the film. Warning: Contains punishments, since we are following children grow up. Contains the loss of a parent.

Okay I know the title is weird just go with it for now. Calliope is two weeks old when her mother just abandoned her out of the blue, so Calliope does not have no mother or father in her life she is alone. Calliope is found by a member of the best band in the land the Ohio state band of course, and she hates to leave poor little Calliope out there in the cold to die as well when she is just a baby of course. Calliope is adopted by the whole band and each member takes her home to look after her and care for her too cause she is apart of their family. Calliope has her own uniform that was made just for her she wears on game day and also when the band travels too. The director finds out about little Calliope and he tells the band that one member has to fully adopt her as their own or they have to surrender her to the proper authorities in time, and the band discusses who shall take little Calliope as their own daughter cause they hate to see her leave, and they never see her ever again. The band can't come to a conclusion on who wants little Calliope as their own daughter. Read and find out who takes Calliope

A marching band short story

Mason Johnson was never the girl of anyone's dreams, and she knows that, but freshman year she thinks she has a chance with her so called Prince Charming. Kory. He's a dreamy junior snare player, who Mason has liked since 7th grade. She makes friends with the other snare players in hopes to get to know him, but as she reunites with an old friend two loves might be kindled or one may flame out.

And she is ... She is writing this right now. Sitting ontop of the faux-grass turf of the football field after a long day. A huge day filled with not only school, but with marching under the sun. Victoria is unwittingly giving birth to a story that could be grim, or most happy. She doesn't know the future but will account the past here. But why does she dare to see a story unfold as the present is fleeting her every breath? Victoria looks downward. She is sitting on the &quot;0&quot; of the the 50 yardline. She isn't the best Drum Major out there. I know that is just my harsh opinion but she does have her merits. She is the first. There is no one here to teach &quot;How to be Drum Major 101&quot; to lead the band into the field correctly, be the paragon of excellence, and be able to constantly assert themselves. Even the Band Directors doesn't know all the details. I have no doubts that with time maybe something, moderately decent will come about from her trifles.

School isn't exactly fun, at least for the majority of us. Started from the Twitter phenomenon, the people in charge of the marching band related Twitter pages get first dibs on the limited spots at BAHS. Once they're there, however, things won't be pretty.
