I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’m 100% sure your most recent chapter is heavily aided by AI. There’s Em dashed which you’ve NEVER used before and “it’s not this, it’s that” which is another key feature of AI. Don’t your fans deserve better?

Thank you for replying so kindly and thoroughly. I understand now. I was just very upset bc the chapter with the clearly AI text is a chapter a) I requested and b) have been eagerly awaiting. So it felt kinda like a slap in the face to see such obvious examples of AI writing in it

@hannahginny Hi, thank you for your message. All of my writing is done by me, and it has always been only me. With that in mind, proofreading can be a difficult process because English is not my native language. Sometimes I have used AI as a partner to help improve my writing, but I have never used prompts to fully write a chapter or even a paragraph. I have used it for inspiration and then rewritten the chapter myself and used the Oxford Dictionary to provide synonyms to make it as enjoyable as possible for readers. AI has been a friend in my creative process, not an easy tool for crafting stories. If this has upset anyone, I apologize. That was never my intention. My intention has always been to deliver the best possible reading experience for my readers while continuing to develop and grow as a writer. If you have any advice for how I can achieve this in another way, I’m always open for suggestions. Lots of love xX
